1: Transmigrating to another world
Ji Xuanqing's consciousness gradually awakened.
"What... what's going on?"
"Wasn't I handing out Flyers?" She touched her forehead, feeling a bit dizzy.
She slowly sat up, feeling control over her body, limbs, and five senses, and stared blankly for a moment.
She opened her eyes and saw that she was lying on a bed with curtains.
"I remember my room didn't look like this."
Ji Xuanqing rubbed her eyes, suddenly realizing her hands seemed to have shrunk.
A vague memory surfaced, forcing her to stop thinking.
Ten minutes later, she finally understood what was happening.
To be precise, Ji Xuanqing Transmigrated. She was originally a Huaxia Person from Blue Star, orphaned, raised herself, and studied Swordsmanship from a young age. While handing out Flyers for a Swordsmanship competition, everything went dark, and she found herself Transmigrated into this world.
When she prepared to get out of bed, she realized she had become a four or five-year-old girl.
She froze for a moment. Ji Xuanqing kept touching her crotch until half an hour later she finally confirmed that she had Transmigrated, and into a girl's body—her 'Second Brother' was gone.
Ji Xuanqing lay on the bed, staring at the wooden ceiling like a dead fish. After an hour, she shakily got up, forced to accept the fact that she had become a woman.
This is bullshit! Me, a grown man, Transmigrating is one thing, but being gender-swapped too? Damn it, is there no justice left in the world?
There was nothing she could do now. She fiercely pinched her tender cheek, and it certainly hurt.
Ji Xuanqing's small hands clenched into fists.
"In this life, I am a daughter..."
But for now, she needed to understand her current situation and location.
The room had a retro style, with wooden door frames, exuding an ancient charm.
Ji Xuanqing walked over to a slightly yellow Bronze Mirror. She could vaguely see her current appearance reflected in it.
Her appearance was decent; she had long hair, part of which was coiled up with a Hair Crown, and the rest hung behind her. Her hair was slightly messy, her eyes clear, and her face delicate, though a bit pale. From the surrounding decor, it was clear her status was high, but the clothes she wore, similar to Hanfu, were very coarse and clearly not high quality.
These clothes certainly didn't match the luxurious room. That was strange.
It seemed she had Transmigrated into an ancient world. Currently, she hadn't found anything too strange. She would have to get familiar with the environment before deciding what to do next.
After sorting out these matters, Ji Xuanqing pondered in the room for a while, tidied herself up, and finally figured out how to wear the clothes. It was quite complicated. Didn't ancient people find this troublesome? After venting a bit, she gently pushed the door open and left.
After stepping out, there was a small courtyard with two rooms in front. Turning left led to a path lined with many small courtyards. Countless small courtyards formed a large compound; someone unfamiliar might easily get lost.
Outside the rear courtyard, various people wearing coarse linen clothes were moving about, some carrying water, others rushing along with silk fabrics.
Ji Xuanqing noticed that those people would greet her as they passed. Although she couldn't understand what they were saying, she felt they were quite respectful, making her realize her status was not low. The vague memories she got after Transmigration were useless.
She needed to find someone familiar and get something to eat first.
As Ji Xuanqing was thinking, two Young Boys about her age walked toward her, flanked by two older Servants, who seemed to be attendants or followers.
When the two Young Boys saw Ji Xuanqing, they immediately put on sinister smiles. One of the Young Boys walked up to Ji Xuanqing, blocking her path, and spoke with an air of arrogance: "Jee jee~ Chaa chaa~ Jee jee~ Chaa chaa~!"
Ji Xuanqing couldn't understand the gibberish they were speaking.
She simply walked around the person in front, choosing to ignore them. In her current situation, she preferred to avoid trouble if possible.
The Young Boy probably didn't expect Ji Xuanqing to ignore him. He raised his hand and lunged to grab Ji Xuanqing's hair.
Ji Xuanqing frowned at the Young Boy. She slightly shifted her body and dodged. If it weren't for the ingrained neural reflexes from years of Swordsmanship training, she might have been caught.
Based on Ji Xuanqing's years of experience, she concluded that this Young Boy must have trained; his body looked stronger and more energetic than hers.
This kind of drama, where the strong bully the weak, seems to exist in every world. Ji Xuanqing was speechless. Why didn't they go spar with someone stronger?
Ji Xuanqing wasn't afraid, but she figured if she hit the younger one, the older ones would show up, leading to a lot of trouble if not handled properly.
If she wanted to, taking this kid down would only take a single move.
Ji Xuanqing intended to take a step back and let the matter go, stepping back to leave.
The Young Boy was surprised that Ji Xuanqing dared to dodge and became angry. He stepped forward and lunged for Ji Xuanqing's hair again. His mouth kept chattering, clearly saying something unpleasant.
Ji Xuanqing retreated another step.
Do children always like pulling hair when they fight?
After several failed attempts, the Young Boy's face turned red. He said something to the other Young Boy, and the second Young Boy joined the fray.
Seeing these two vexatious brats, Ji Xuanqing stepped forward and used a simple Sweeping Kick, taking both of them down.
This made the two unruly Young Boys eat dirt.
The two Young Boys cried out in pain. The two followers behind them could only rush to help the Young Boys up, not daring to lay a hand on Ji Xuanqing.
This reaction gave Ji Xuanqing some insight into the situation.
She and these two Young Boys must be of the same status—likely the masters of this house, such as Young Masters or Young Misses. Servants were not allowed to interfere in conflicts between masters. If a Servant struck a master, they would be beaten to death by the master's people.
If this was the case, and they shared the same status, things were easier. Judging by their behavior, they must have frequently bullied the original owner of this body, which explained why her hair was so messy.
"Then let me discipline these little brats for you."
A moment later, the two Young Boys looked as if they had been greatly wronged, wildly gesticulating and talking at her. One of the Young Boys stepped forward, struck a pose, and demonstrated a set of Military Boxing movements. "Hey! Ha!" He threw two punches. A stream of white Qi flowed through his fist, and he charged toward Ji Xuanqing, swinging his punch. Although he didn't know why Ji Xuanqing had become so powerful, he was sure that if he used the Xie Family Boxing Technique, she would be instantly knocked down.
Ji Xuanqing narrowed her eyes slightly, recognizing that this punch was unusual and posed a danger. If this body took the hit, she might be confined to bed. She thought to herself, "Hitting so hard at such a young age."
In that case, she didn't need to hold back. Using her years of Swordsmanship experience, Ji Xuanqing shifted slightly to the side. The punch grazed her face, and she brought her palms together, chopping toward the Young Boy's side near his abdomen.
"Aoo~~"
A miserable scream rang out. The Young Boy clutched the flesh near his abdomen, jumping around as if breakdancing from the pain.
What does it feel like to be hit near the abdomen, specifically the ribs?
It's not unlike being knocked unconscious by a punch.
Watching the Young Boy hopping around, it was clear he was in immense pain, as were the three stunned people behind him.
Ji Xuanqing ignored the group and quickly walked past them. This time, no one dared to block her path.
The few people could only watch Ji Xuanqing leave.
As she walked and looked around, many people bowed to Ji Xuanqing, even though she couldn't understand them.
After walking and observing for a while, no one else came out to cause trouble.
After touring the area, she had a general idea: the compound was very large, housing hundreds of people including all the Servants. This meant it belonged to a wealthy family, which was good; at least her safety was somewhat guaranteed, aside from the Young Boys she had encountered earlier.
Ji Xuanqing found the kitchen, ate a meal, and returned to her residence. Until she fully learned the language of this world, she could only remain mute... A few days later, just as Ji Xuanqing was contemplating her future plans, a figure blocked her path. She looked up and, sure enough, it was that Young Boy again. This time, he pointed at Ji Xuanqing as if issuing a challenge, chattering incessantly.
Clearly, he might be the type with strong self-esteem, and being defeated by a girl made it even worse.
The Young Boy adopted a boxing stance again, looking fierce and powerful.
He ran toward Ji Xuanqing.
Ji Xuanqing decided not to indulge him anymore. Looking at the charging Young Boy, she realized her current body was relatively weak, so she had to use a harsher move.
Ji Xuanqing took a step back, raised her leg, and kicked straight toward his crotch. The Young Boy seemed to sense something, slightly stepping his thigh outward, causing Ji Xuanqing to only kick the side of his thigh.
Taking advantage of the Young Boy dodging, Ji Xuanqing lunged forward and punched the Young Boy in the stomach. Every move targeted vital, non-lethal spots—it would hurt badly, but not kill.
A single punch sent the Young Boy stumbling back.
Ji Xuanqing mounted the Young Boy and started punching his face. "You little punk, still trying to fight me?" Ji Xuanqing said while raining down punches.
Bang bang~
After a few punches, Ji Xuanqing was completely exhausted and breathless, feeling as sore all over as if she had carried two bags of cement up fifty flights of stairs.
Dragging her weary body, Ji Xuanqing stood up and looked coldly at the Young Boy, who was grimacing in pain.
She turned and left immediately. He probably wouldn't come back anytime soon. Next time he shows up, she'll knock out his front teeth.
The Young Boy, covered in bumps, watched the direction Ji Xuanqing left with a painful and incredulous look, feeling like she was a completely different person.
Fighting seemed common in this world, and no one came to intervene.
However, several days after the fight, Ji Xuanqing and the Young Boy were called before an Old Woman, criticized, and confined to their rooms. Ji Xuanqing didn't care anyway.
