103: Chapter 103 Cat

Next, Lu Siye did not continue to Cultivate both Cultivation Techniques simultaneously, but instead chose to specialize in the "Tendon-Changing Classic."

The fourth layer of the "Tendon-Changing Classic" consumes 800 energy points, the fifth layer 1600 energy points, the sixth layer 3200 energy points, the seventh layer 6000 energy points, the eighth layer 12000 energy points, and the ninth layer 20000 energy points.

Strengthening the entire "Tendon-Changing Classic" consumes a total of 44300 energy points.

Subsequently, Lu Siye spent eight days Cultivating the "Tendon-Changing Classic" to the Realm of Perfection at the ninth layer.

When he Cultivated to the seventh layer, he could clearly feel his aptitude changing.

The most intuitive manifestation was that the conversion speed of Yang Qi increased significantly, and upon reaching the ninth layer of Perfection, the speed of Yang Qi conversion was directly doubled compared to before.

Lu Siye estimated that if he switched to Cultivating the "Dragon-Elephant Prajna Art," he would have a chance to ignite the second Yang Fire by the end of this month and promote to the second Realm of the Night Wanderer.

Push a little harder, make an effort!

He had already been in seclusion for 20 days, so it wouldn't hurt to spend the remaining week or so; he would wait until he promoted to the second Realm of the Night Wanderer before coming out of seclusion.

...

"Meow~ Meow~"

On a small path by the park woods, a filthy Silver Shaded Cat was cautiously meowing at passersby.

Judging by its fur color, it seemed to be a purebred Silver Shaded Cat; although it was filthy, it did not look emaciated.

This must be a pet cat that ran away from some cat owner's home, or perhaps it was intentionally abandoned by its owner.

Screech~

A harsh screech of brakes sounded, startling the Silver Shaded Cat, which turned and quickly hid in the woods.

A black sedan stopped on the side of the road, and a man wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts stepped out.

"What a cute Silver Shaded Cat, do you have no home to go back to?" The man came to the roadside with a can in his hand, squatted down, and said to the kitten hiding in the distance.

"Meow?" The cat could not understand human language, but it recognized the cat can in the man's hand; previously, its "poop-scooper" had often given it this to eat.

"You must haven't eaten for a long time, come, this is for you." The man said with a smile.

Then he opened the cat can in his hand, placed it on the curb, and took a few steps back.

The familiar aroma of the canned food drifted into the Silver Shaded Cat's nose, and drool uncontrollably dripped from its mouth.

It vigilantly observed the man on the roadside for a while and found that he did not seem to pose a threat. For the sake of the canned food, it slowly approached.

Munch~ Munch~

The Silver Shaded Cat arrived at the side of the can and began to feast on the food inside.

After a while, the man slowly approached.

"Meow!"

The Silver Shaded Cat raised its head vigilantly and twitched its nose; it smelled many of its own kind on the man in front of it.

Does this two-legged beast also keep many of its own kind at home?

It seems he must be a good two-legged beast!

"Meow!"

The Silver Shaded Cat meowed again, then continued to lower its head to eat the canned food, allowing the man to approach.

It felt the man squat down beside it, and a large hand was scratching its head; it felt so comfortable.

Suddenly, it felt something grab the back of its neck, which scared it so much that it immediately started screaming.

"Meow! Meow!" The harsh cat cries echoed by the edge of the woods.

Several elderly men cooling off in the woods turned their heads to look over after hearing the sound, and they saw a man holding a struggling cat in his hand.

Could this person be a cat trafficker?

The few elderly men thought to themselves and stood up to walk towards the man.

"I saw that this cat was a bit pitiful, so I thought about taking it home to raise it." Seeing the elderly men walking over, the man quickly explained.

"Look, I even just fed it cat canned food!" The man pointed to the half-eaten cat can on the ground and added.

The elderly men glanced at the cat can on the ground, and after confirming, they felt relieved and returned to the woods to cool off.

It's good that he's not a cat trafficker.

"Let's go, I'm taking you home!" The man looked down at the Silver Shaded Cat and said expressionlessly.

Then he took a cage out of the trunk, threw the Silver Shaded Cat inside, locked it, got into the car, and left.

"Meow?"

The Silver Shaded Cat in the trunk hid in the innermost part of the cage, looking at this strange environment vigilantly, meowing uneasily.

The space here was not large, it was pitch black all around, and there were several empty cages outside.

It could feel the cage beneath it shaking; it didn't know where that two-legged beast would take it.

It was getting hotter and hotter inside, and gradually it could no longer meow; it stuck out its tongue and panted like a dog.

Not long after, it felt the cage beneath it stop shaking, and soon the trunk door was opened; the man had appeared again.

"Meow!" The Silver Shaded Cat stood up instantly, meowing loudly at the man, venting the dissatisfaction in its heart.

The man did not pay any attention to it, but instead took an empty cage and left on his own.

Before long, he returned, and the empty cage he had taken out earlier now contained a scrawny orange cat.

That cage was placed beside it, then the trunk door was closed again, and the place fell into darkness once more.

"Meow!" The newly arrived orange cat, like the Silver Shaded Cat before, started meowing uneasily.

Gradually, as the temperature rose, it also could no longer meow; it crawled down and panted along with the Silver Shaded Cat.

Just like this, not knowing how much time had passed, the cages in the trunk were all filled with filthy cats.

Some of these cats were big, some small, some fat, some thin, but without exception, they were all filthy; they must all be stray cats.

The Silver Shaded Cat that had entered first began to feel uneasy.

Why did that two-legged beast want to catch so many of its own kind? Was he the kind of bad person the "poop-scooper" talked about?

It meowed in fear, its voice growing louder and more ear-piercing with each cry.

All the surrounding cats were stimulated and also began to meow one after another.

However, the sound quickly died down; it was too hot in there, and they no longer had the strength.

Not knowing how much more time passed, until the Silver Shaded Cat was on the verge of death, a cool breeze blew in, and the surrounding temperature dropped instantly.

Subsequently, the Silver Shaded Cat felt its cage move, and it arrived outside, where a pungent odor rushed to its face.

That was the even stronger scent of its own kind, the scent of their blood, and countless weak cat cries came to its ears.

It struggled to open its eyes and saw countless blood-stained iron cages, with its own kind inside every one of them.

The two-legged beast from before was standing in the middle of these cages, his gaze sweeping over them, with a smile on his face that was even more terrifying than the old woman who cut in line.

Every one of its kind that he looked at shrank back in fear, trembling incessantly.

"Which one should I start with!" The man murmured, as if he were making a difficult multiple-choice question.
