38: Chapter 38 The Drowned Ghost Controlled by a Demon

A silent night passed.

Lu Siye and Fang Lanyue spent the entire night in Cultivation.

Not until morning did Fang Lanyue, wanting to avoid the sunlight, reluctantly hide inside the lingming jade.

Before going in, Fang Lanyue pleaded with Lu Siye, looking slightly aggrieved, not to put the jade into the suitcase again; she was afraid of the dark.

Lu Siye agreed readily, but once Fang Lanyue entered the lingming jade, he immediately put it into the suitcase and stored it in the System Space.

Just kidding, how could he possibly let go of any opportunity to squeeze out Fear Points?

In a pleasant mood, Lu Siye left his rental apartment and went to the snack street outside the residential complex, intending to buy some rice rolls and soy milk for breakfast.

It was near the morning rush hour. When he arrived at the rice roll shop, it was almost full, leaving only one table with empty seats.

"Boss, give me three portions of rice rolls, add two eggs and two sausages, and two cups of freshly ground soy milk."

Lu Siye, who had over two million in his account, shouted boldly.

Previously, he would only add one egg or sausage, but now he added four toppings at once, drawing envious gazes from the workers in the shop.

"Coming right up!" the boss replied with a smile.

Before long, the rice rolls were ready. The boss skillfully cut them up, placed them on a long plate, and drizzled them with his secret sauce.

Placed in front of Lu Siye, the aroma hit his nose, stirring the gluttonous worms in his stomach.

He pulled out disposable chopsticks from the holder and began to devour his food.

Suddenly, Lu Siye felt it go dark in front of him. He bit off the rice roll in his mouth and looked up.

It was a young couple. In the mother's arms, she was holding a chubby little child who was clutching a White Rabbit creamy candy.

"Brother, do you mind if we share the table?" the young father asked politely.

"Oh, no problem!" Lu Siye nodded, pulling his plate and soy milk back a little.

"Thank you!" the young father said.

He pulled out a tissue, wiped the chair next to his wife clean, and only sat down after watching his wife sit down.

"Boss, give me two rice rolls, one with egg and sausage, and the other just with egg," the young father turned his head and shouted to the boss.

"Hey! Just a moment, it'll probably be a few minutes," the boss replied, bringing Lu Siye's two rice rolls over and setting them down, then speaking to them with a hint of apology.

"Ah, please hurry then!" The young father glanced at his watch after hearing this, his face showing slight anxiety.

Lu Siye saw his expression, glanced at the other two rice rolls, pushed the two plates toward them, and said: "If you don't mind, you can eat these first. I'm not in a rush and can wait."

"How could we be so rude?" The young father scratched his head, looking embarrassed.

"It's fine, you guys eat! Oh, and this cup of soy milk can be for the child." Lu Siye moved a cup of soy milk over, then waved his hand to show it didn't matter.

"Then thank you so much, brother!" The young father looked happy.

"Lele, hurry up and thank the big brother!" the young mother said gently to the child.

"Thank you, big brother! This is for you!" the child thanked him in a milky voice and took the initiative to give Lu Siye the White Rabbit creamy candy in his hand.

Lu Siye took the candy, unwrapped it, popped it into his mouth, and shouted with an exaggerated expression: "Wow! So sweet, thank you Lele!"

"Giggle, giggle~" The child was amused by Lu Siye's exaggerated expression and laughed continuously.

The couple's faces were also full of smiles, inwardly sighing that they had met a good person when they went out this morning.

After eating and drinking their fill, the couple left first, but before leaving, they paid for Lu Siye's meal.

Lu Siye only found out about this when he was full and ready to leave, but by then, they had already been gone for a long time.

Returning to the rental apartment, Lu Siye opened the Evil Suppression Bureau Store and exchanged for twenty blood replenishing pills. Then he practiced blade techniques and movement arts for a while to aid digestion, before continuing to Cultivate the fourth layer of the Dragon-Elephant Prajna Art.

Near noon, the door was knocked. Opening it, he saw people from Furniture City had arrived with a bathtub for installation.

He led them to the bathroom. Watching the two masters clanging and banging away for about half an hour, the bathtub was installed.

Before they left, Lu Siye handed everyone a bottle of iced cola and watched them leave with a smile on his face.

Returning to the bathroom, looking at the bathtub he had long desired, now right beside him, a sense of indescribable satisfaction filled his heart.

Returning to the living room, Lu Siye continued to Cultivate until past nine in the evening, when the blood spirit pills in his hand were finally exhausted.

After finishing his Cultivation, Lu Siye looked at the empty room, feeling as if he had forgotten something.

Not until he prepared to experience how great a bath in the tub would be and ran to the wardrobe to get clothes did he remember that Fang Lanyue was still sitting in his System Space.

He hurriedly took out the suitcase, retrieved the jade from it, and tapped it gently.

With a flash of white light, Fang Lanyue appeared on the bed, sleepy-eyed, looking at Lu Siye with a confused expression.

So she had fallen asleep inside the jade; no wonder the System had been quiet all afternoon, making him forget he even had this ghost.

However, this lingming jade was truly a good thing. Fang Lanyue had spent the whole day inside, and the Yin Qi on her was clearly much denser, and her strength had increased quite a bit.

"Ahem! I'm going to take a bath first. If someone knocks on the door later, remember to help me get my takeout," Lu Siye said.

At this moment, he felt more and more like a capitalist, first squeezing out Fang Lanyue's emotional value, and then squeezing her labor value.

"Oh!" Fang Lanyue responded groggily; she hadn't yet recovered from her sleepy state.

Lu Siye took his clothes to the bathroom; the water in the bathtub was just filled to eighty percent.

After turning off the faucet, he turned to hang up his clothes. Just as he finished taking off his shirt and was about to take off his pants, his face suddenly darkened.

Lu Siye, bare-chested, came to the side of the bathtub and crouched down, looking at the clear bathwater in the tub, his expression gloomy.

"I, Si Ye, just want to have a nice bath, and you insist on coming here to seek death at this moment, right!"

He suddenly punched into the water, and when he lifted his hand again, he was already gripping a slippery water ghost that reeked of a foul fishy smell.

[The Drowned Ghost is suspicious and unsettled: How is this possible? How did he discover me? Fear Points +88!]

[The Drowned Ghost is terrified: Impossible, how could I be caught in the water by a Night Patrol Envoy? Unless he is not a Night Patrol Envoy, but a Night Wanderer!!! Fear Points +99!]

[...]

"Speak, did The Net send you?" Lu Siye's palm gradually exerted force, squeezing the Drowned Ghost's neck until it began to deform.

"Spare... spare me! This little one doesn't know what The Net is; it was a Big-headed Doll that told me to come." The Drowned Ghost was being choked until its eyes rolled back, and it hurriedly begged for mercy.

The Big-headed Doll again!

"What did it tell you?" Lu Siye pressed.

"It... it said you, my lord, are only at the Night Patrol Envoy Realm and are seriously injured, so it told this little one to come... come..." The Drowned Ghost dared not continue.

"Hmph, it sent you to kill me, didn't it!" Lu Siye snorted coldly, frightening the Drowned Ghost into trembling all over.

[...]

"Yes... yes, but this was not this little ghost's intention; this little ghost was also forced by... Ah~"

Before the Drowned Ghost could finish begging for mercy, a powerful suction force erupted from Lu Siye's hand, and the Yin Qi inside its body began to drain away rapidly.

"Die! I want you to die!" At this moment, the Drowned Ghost's eyes were filled with hatred. It knew Lu Siye would never let it go, so rather than wait for death, it might as well make a desperate struggle before dying.

"Just you?" Lu Siye watched the Drowned Ghost's desperate stance, and the large hand gripping its neck shook, directly shattering the Yin Qi within its body and cutting off any possibility of a counterattack.

Dozens of seconds later, the Drowned Ghost was completely drained dry. After reporting it to the Evil Suppression Bureau, Lu Siye punched it into ash.
