34: Chapter 34 A Ghost Afraid of Cockroaches?
After thinking for a while, Lu Siye ultimately chose to exchange for seven blood replenishing pills to test their effects.
After putting down his phone, Lu Siye looked toward the bedroom, his brows slightly furrowed.
"Are you really going to stay that composed?"
Ever since he entered from the balcony, Lu Siye had sensed a Ghost in his bedroom, but its Yin Qi was not very strong, so its power shouldn't be high.
He had originally thought that since his strength was compromised, he would use Cultivation to pretend he hadn't discovered it, thereby luring it out.
He hadn't expected that after so long, the Ghost in the bedroom wouldn't have even changed its position.
However, having recovered two-thirds of his strength, Lu Siye was confident that he could easily handle the opponent, so there was no need to lure the snake out of its hole anymore.
Pushing open the bedroom door, Lu Siye looked up at the light tube that had been turned on at some point, then glanced at the wardrobe and walked in, pretending to be oblivious.
Just as Lu Siye was about to walk over, he noticed an extra note on his desk.
Arriving at the desk, Lu Siye picked up the note; it had a passage written on it, and the handwriting was actually quite neat.
'Someone wants to harm you, call the police quickly, and find the Evil Suppression Bureau to save your life!'
Who wrote this? Could it be that Ghost in the wardrobe?
Lu Siye glanced at the wardrobe from the corner of his eye without leaving a trace; he sensed faint Yin Qi on the note.
Suddenly, a cockroach that had appeared from nowhere flew in front of Lu Siye.
He instinctively backhanded it with a slap, but quickly held back his strength after realizing what he was doing.
He certainly didn't want to get his hand covered in sticky white fluid from smashing a cockroach.
The cockroach probably hadn't expected that one day it would be slapped by a human; it flew toward the wardrobe like a kite with a broken string.
After landing on the ground, the cockroach bounced, and as luck would have it, it fell into the gap of the wardrobe door.
"Damn it, my wardr—" Lu Siye reacted instantly, but before he could finish his sentence, a much louder commotion erupted from inside the wardrobe.
"Ah!!!"
A piercing scream erupted from the wardrobe, and a pale-faced female Ghost, wearing a short-sleeved shirt with a Pikachu pattern on the chest and jeans, rushed out while screaming.
She jumped onto Lu Siye's bed, shaking her pants frantically as if she were doing a laser dance, as if there were a bomb hidden inside.

Listening to the notification sounds ringing in his ears, Lu Siye couldn't help but widen his eyes.
What the hell?
A cowardly Ghost?
Are there actually cowardly Ghosts?
Lu Siye looked at the female Ghost dancing on his bed; the deep fear on her face didn't seem fake, and he felt his worldview being refreshed.
After bouncing for a dozen seconds, a cockroach, frozen stiff, flew out from the female Ghost's pant leg and landed on the floor with a splat.
"Waaah~ That scared me to death!" After seeing the cockroach fly out, the female Ghost sat down on the bed and couldn't help but cry.
[Cowardly Ghost Fang Lanyue feels a lingering fear, Fear Value +88!]
Lu Siye mobilized his Yang Qi to concentrate on his eyes and looked over; there was only grayish-white Yin Qi on the female Ghost's body, and no pitch-black resentment.
There was a common piece of knowledge in the Evil Suppression Bureau: before a person dies, they will more or less harbor resentment toward the culprit who caused their death.
And the fact that the cowardly Ghost Fang Lanyue had no resentment meant that she likely had no human lives on her hands.
This completely stumped Lu Siye.
She hadn't taken any human lives, and she was the suspected author of the note—should he kill her or not?
"Hey! This..." Lu Siye felt it was necessary to verify, so he held the note and shouted at the female Ghost.
But before he could finish speaking, the female Ghost seemed to have been electrocuted; with an "ah" sound, she bounced off the bed and turned into a gust of wind, diving back into the wardrobe.
[Fang Lanyue was startled, 'Oh my god! I've been discovered!', Fear Value +66!]
With a dull thud, the wardrobe door was slammed shut.
[Cowardly Ghost Fang Lanyue is afraid, 'It's so dark!', Fear Value +76!]
The next moment, the wardrobe door was pried open slightly, and a sock got stuck in the gap, preventing the door from closing.
Lu Siye's mouth twitched; he was now 80% sure that this was just a silly Ghost.
He walked toward the wardrobe and raised his hand to knock on the door.
['Help, he discovered me!', Fear Value +66!]
Black lines covered Lu Siye's forehead; he wasn't stupid, and he wasn't blind either.
Opening his mouth, Lu Siye suddenly realized he had blanked out, and he had forgotten what he wanted to say.
Looking down at the note in his hand, he finally remembered what he needed to say.
"Come out. I saw you a long time ago. Was the note on the desk outside written by you?" Lu Siye knocked on the door again.
Inside the wardrobe, Fang Lanyue curled into a ball, covering her ears and burying herself in a pile of clothes.
After waiting for a while, the cowardly Ghost Fang Lanyue did not come out.
Lu Siye sighed helplessly and pulled open the wardrobe door, seeing Fang Lanyue inside, eyes tightly shut, ears covered, curled into a ball.
Seemingly sensing that the wardrobe door had been opened, Fang Lanyue quietly opened one eye, just in time to meet Lu Siye's gaze.
['Holy crap! Don't come over here!', Fear Value +99!]
"Ah!" Fang Lanyue shuddered, screamed, and curled up even tighter.
Lu Siye couldn't take it anymore; he reached in, dragged her out, and threw her onto the bed.
Looking at the female Ghost on the bed attempting to burrow into the blankets, Lu Siye was amused to the point of anger.
If something like this can become a Ghost, could it be that she was scared to death while watching a horror story in the middle of the night?
Coming over to the bed, Lu Siye grabbed Fang Lanyue by the scruff of her neck like a kitten, pulled her out from the blankets, and placed the note in front of her eyes.
['Don't...']
"Open your eyes and look closely. Did you write this?" After putting her down, Lu Siye asked in as gentle a tone as possible.
"Mm-hmm!" Fang Lanyue opened her eyes slightly to look, nodding like a chicken pecking at rice.
"Why did you warn me?" Lu Siye pressed.
"Because... because I don't dare to kill people!" Fang Lanyue made a sound as faint as a mosquito.
"Did The Net send you here?"
"What is The Net?" Fang Lanyue asked curiously, her eyes wide.
Lu Siye looked at her curious expression; it seemed she really didn't know about The Net.
"Did anyone instruct you to come here?" Lu Siye changed his line of questioning.
"A little brother found me and asked me to come here to harm someone; he promised that afterward, he would protect my safety for a lifetime," Fang Lanyue said after hesitating for a moment.
If not for the promise that it would allow her to live more safely, she wouldn't have wanted to come at all!
"The little brother you mentioned—is he less than 1.2 meters tall, with a mouth full of sharp teeth and pitch-black pupils?" Lu Siye thought for a moment and described the appearance of the Twin Ghost Infants.
Fang Lanyue imagined the appearance of the person Lu Siye described, and her body trembled in fear.
[Fear Value +...]
"No... no, it's a Big-headed Doll with a very large head," she said weakly.
