Chen Cheng returned to his office and adjusted the trading parameters for Japan for the next day.

For Japan, Chen Cheng had written an automated trading program; before each trading day, he would manually adjust the parameters once.

It was essentially a quantitative trading model that required manual parameter configuration.

Checking it once a day was enough, which was very time-saving and efficient.

I have to say, the golden finger given by the master system is truly impressive. Since he chose large-cap targets, the average volatility wasn't high. However, it was very stable, harvesting profits through daily two-way hedging, yielding a profit of 1.5%-2% almost every trading day.

Based on the current average profit level of the model, Chen Cheng's 100 million dollars in Japan would double in less than two months.

When the right opportunity arose, he couldn't use the golden finger entirely on Japan. Japan's market size was still small, and liquidity would eventually become mediocre.

Most importantly, one shouldn't put all their eggs in one basket.

Chen Cheng looked at the situation of the A-shares again; there were actually many opportunities to make money, but his current capital was too large to participate in "Monster stocks" manipulated by market makers.

He took out his phone and sent a message to Guan Juer.

[Guan Guan, didn't you ask me to recommend some books the day before yesterday?]

[How about today?]

[I happen to be around here today. Shall we head to a bookstore after work?]

Guan Juer, who was working, widened her eyes and froze when she saw the message from Chen Cheng.

Brother Cheng asked me out, Brother Cheng asked me out...

Hee hee hee...

"Xiao Guan, what are you giggling at?" Yin Yue asked suspiciously from the neighboring workstation.

"Ah?" Guan Juer only then realized she had laughed out loud and quickly covered her mouth.

"Oh, it's nothing, nothing," she said, giving Yin Yue an embarrassed smile.

Guan Juer thought for a moment and began typing a reply.

[I'm not sure if I can get off work on time. If I do, I'm in!]

Chen Cheng glanced at Guan Juer's message and shrugged.

True, Guan Juer was in the Investment Bank department; it was a world of endless financial statements, reports, and overtime.

[Alright, send me a message when you're almost done.]

Guan Juer replied quickly.

[Mm-hmm.]

Chen Cheng looked at the message, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

After thinking for a bit, he sent another message to Gao Yue.

[Help me book a restaurant nearby that's suitable for a date and has a good view.]

After sending the message, Chen Cheng replied to a few more.

Then, he leaned his head back against the chair and stared at the ceiling, replaying yesterday's events in his mind.

After a long while, Chen Cheng sat up straight and took out his phone to call Hu Yue.

Hu Yue picked up quickly.

"Hello, Mr. Chen, good afternoon."

"Do you have any instructions?"

"Help me order a car at the 4S dealership—a Maserati Quattroporte, white, top trim."

"Order a car?" Hu Yue was initially confused, but seeing her mentor's gesture, she immediately changed her tune, "Certainly, Mr. Chen. Do you have any requirements for the delivery time?"

"As soon as possible."

With that, Chen Cheng hung up the phone.

In the Private Banking Department of the Binjiang Branch of Shenmao Bank, Hu Yue looked at her mentor in bewilderment.

She had only been transferred to the Private Banking Department for a few days, and the bank had assigned her a mentor to teach her the ropes.

Her mentor, Zeng Pei, gave her lucky apprentice a frustrated look, "From now on, if it's something you can do, you agree to it, whether it's within your job description or not."

"If you can't do it, stall for time and come ask me afterward. You just can't refuse, understood?"

Hu Yue nodded blankly, "Understood, Master."

Zeng Pei continued to educate her apprentice, "Our duty is to serve our clients well and satisfy their various needs."

"For a client of this scale, I don't need to calculate the profits from the interest rate spread for you, do I?"

"If the client is unsatisfied or even unhappy and decides to transfer their money out, calculate how much the bank would lose."

"And then think about what kind of impact that would have on you."

Hu Yue silently calculated the interest rate spread profit generated by the money in Chen Cheng's account.

Twenty million...

*Gulp*

Having calculated the figure, Hu Yue instinctively swallowed.

If Chen Cheng left and she had to take the blame, she would be in big trouble.

These past few days she had only thought about the joy, never realizing this was also a hot potato.

Since Chen Cheng's return, he hadn't stopped buying cars, getting a new one every few days.

Once he started spending money, he couldn't stop.

Ye Zhenzhen's M8, which he had scratched, had already been traded in for a new one through him.

Chen Cheng had also bought the same model for himself, but in a pure black "Black Knight" color scheme. This was the car he was driving today.

Chen Cheng looked at his phone for a while and then left the office. Guan Juer had sent him a message.

Yes, this was the daily life of a boss.

Reading documents, sending messages, thinking about women, and buying cars.

Chen Cheng drove to the bottom of Guan Juer's office building and waited for a minute. Guan Juer came out with her canvas bag, accompanied by Gu Juan and Yin Yue, with whom she had eaten lunch.

Guan Juer saw Chen Cheng and trotted over.

"Brother Cheng, I'm sorry to keep you waiting."

Chen Cheng smiled and shook his head, "No, I just arrived a minute ago myself."

"Shall we go then?"

Guan Juer nodded and turned to say goodbye to Gu Juan and Yin Yue, "Sister Jennie, Sister Yue, I'm leaving now. See you tomorrow."

"Alright, bye-bye."

Chen Cheng gentlemanly opened the car door for Guan Juer.

He nodded to the two women who were observing from the side, then got into the car and drove away.

Yin Yue watched the car drive away and gave a self-deprecating smile, "My Chanel suddenly doesn't seem so great anymore; it's not even as good as Xiao Guan's canvas bag."

Gu Juan laughed loudly, "And is the subway any better? Hahaha."

"Gu Juan, go to hell!" Yin Yue, annoyed, raised her bag as if to hit her.

"Alright, alright," Gu Juan quickly scurried away to dodge.

Refined urban beauties don't run; their pencil skirts won't allow it.

After messing around for a while, Gu Juan spoke up, "Don't you think our estimation of Handsome Chen was wrong?"

"Not just any trader can afford to drive an M8."

"This guy is probably a rich second-generation heir."

Yin Yue said sourly, "Our Xiao Guan really is lucky."

Gu Juan: "You know what to do from now on, right?"

Yin Yue nodded, "From now on, we'll bring Xiao Guan along for meals and try not to make things difficult for her at work."

Gu Juan teased with a smile, "Yo, Sister Yue is quite sensible today."

"What? Am I supposed to put on some cliché 'Evil Queen jealous of the Little White Flower' drama for you?" Yin Yue's lips curled up with a hint of pride, "That Andy—I had someone look into her. She's the CFO of Company name."

"A CFO of Company name and Handsome Chen with his M8—can you imagine how nice the neighborhood Xiao Guan lives in must be?"

Gu Juan was a bit surprised, "CFO of Company name? I didn't expect that..."

Saying everyone in investment banking is an elite might not be entirely accurate, but there are certainly no fools; fools wouldn't survive a single day here.

Jealousy? So what? Just keep it buried deep inside.

The corporate drones will be jealous of and make things difficult for other corporate drones.

But they certainly won't make things difficult for someone who might be holding the whip.
