As the two stepped out of the Chanel store, Han Su beamed and carefully glanced back at the salesperson who was currently being reprimanded.

She whispered, "Did you file a complaint against her?"

Chen Cheng shrugged. "Yeah. Whether she did it on purpose or not, it's what she deserved."

"She gets the credit for the sales, so she naturally has to face the punishment for her unprofessionalism."

Han Su smiled. "I've noticed that you're quite vindictive."

Chen Cheng shook his head. "I just don't like this kind of malignancy."

Han Su smiled, a hint of sweetness bubbling up inside her.

She hadn't expected this guy to stand up for her so immediately.

The two then walked into a shoe store called something like Giuseppe Zanotti.

She had originally picked out a pair of 9-centimeter black patent leather open-toe stiletto sandals with rhinestone buckles.

But Han Su felt they were too expensive and couldn't bear to buy them.

Chen Cheng managed to suppress the urge to pay for them right away.

Their relationship hadn't progressed to the point where she could accept such an expensive gift.

At least, not yet.

In the end, Han Su bought the regular buckle version of the shoes, which cost eight thousand.

Including the dress, Han Su had already spent fourteen thousand on this banquet.

Chen Cheng sometimes had to sigh at how much effort women put into their attire.

However, it was within her means.

Since coming to Hong Kong, her salary had doubled, reaching a level that most people couldn't achieve in a lifetime.

1.5 million Hong Kong dollars before tax, and about 1.3 million after tax.

This was also the reason why, before she came, some people were willing to fall out with her just to snatch this opportunity to transfer to Hong Kong.

The salary was high, and the tax burden was even lower.

After leaving the shoe store, Chen Cheng still secretly sent a message to Brother Sheng.

In the end, Chen Cheng didn't go back to change his clothes; he simply bought an outfit at Louis Vuitton.

Han Su wanted to pay, but Chen Cheng stopped her.

His suit alone cost twenty-eight thousand, not counting the shoes, shirt, belt, tie, or even the watch he needed to go with it.

On the other hand, men's clothing isn't cheap either.

The upside is that a suit can potentially be passed down for three generations.

Han Su watched Chen Cheng shopping extravagantly and felt bad, so she bought a Louis Vuitton belt for him.

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow and said thank you, but a smile remained on his lips.

The two grabbed a bite to eat at a restaurant in the mall to fill their stomachs.

They found a styling studio to change, put on makeup, and get their hair done.

Han Su had the stylist do his hair.

Whatever Han Su said, the stylist followed, and Chen Cheng ended up feeling like a puppet. However, Scum Cheng didn't mind.

Han Su took this banquet too seriously, while Chen Cheng didn't care at all, letting her have her way.

Afterward, the two drove to the hotel where the banquet was being held.

It was very close, right at the Four Seasons Hotel where Chen Cheng had stayed last week.

"Is there a flower on my face?" Chen Cheng turned his head to ask Han Su, who kept looking at him from time to time.

Han Su smiled, raised an eyebrow, and said, "You in a suit, you look a bit..."

Chen Cheng turned his head and gave a devilish smile. "A bit handsome?"

Han Su met his gaze, blushed instantly, frowned slightly, and said, "Just drive properly."

Chen Cheng's lips curled up, taking in all of her little expressions.

Before long, they arrived at the hotel entrance, and he tossed the car keys to the valet.

Han Su took Chen Cheng's arm, and the two entered the hotel.

Upon arriving at the floor, they showed their invitation and entered the venue.

Han Su whispered in Chen Cheng's ear, "Your business is so big, do you often attend events like this?"

Chen Cheng shook his head. "I generally don't participate in social events like banquets. When I discuss business with people, I usually arrange a private meeting."

"Even for socializing, I'm used to meeting one-on-one; it's less noisy that way."

Han Su raised an eyebrow, forming a new judgment in her heart.

Clearly, Chen Cheng's level was higher than she had imagined.

At least much higher than Gao Peng's.

The venue was crowded, with people in small groups clinking glasses and chatting.

Chen Cheng casually took two glasses of wine from a waiter's tray and handed one to Han Su.

Han Su took the glass, smiled, clinked glasses with Chen Cheng, and took a sip.

"Sometimes I don't like these social occasions either, but there's no other way."

"Since I'm not some prince or princess with people fawning over me, I naturally have to fawn over others."

Chen Cheng was noncommittal; it was true, but he couldn't bring himself to agree.

With different positions, it's hard to empathize.

He Zhinan didn't like these social activities either, and was currently searching for something she liked at the buffet table.

Seeing Han Su and Chen Cheng, she immediately walked over happily.

"Wow, Han Su, your outfit is so beautiful."

As she spoke, her gossipy eyes darted back and forth between Chen Cheng and Han Su.

"Chen Cheng, you too, you're super handsome." She added, giving Chen Cheng a thumbs up.

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow. This girl, why is she acting so manipulative?

He smiled and replied, "Thanks for the compliment."

He Zhinan and Han Su both covered their mouths and chuckled, exchanging a glance, each seeing the meaning in the other's eyes.

This guy really wasn't humble at all.

Han Su smiled and asked, "Why aren't you with Gao Peng?"

He Zhinan looked innocent. "Oh, I don't really like their kind of 'clinking glasses and exchanging name cards' activities, so I went to the side to get something to eat."

As she spoke, she held out the plate in her hand to Han Su. "Do you want some? This little cake is actually quite good."

Gao Peng, who was greeting people in the distance, noticed the three of them gathered together and walked over.

"Han Su, you're here." His voice arrived before he did.

Han Su turned around. "General Manager Gao."

Gao Peng smiled, walked over to He Zhinan, looked at Chen Cheng, and asked suspiciously, "And who is this?"

Just as Han Su was about to introduce him, Chen Cheng spoke first. "Zhencheng Capital, Chen Cheng, a friend of Han Su."

A friend of Han Su... Gao Peng paused for a moment, but quickly recovered his composure, smiling and extending his hand. "Mr. Chen, hello, I'm Gao Peng."

He didn't know what kind of company Zhencheng Capital was, but that didn't stop him from greeting him with a smile.

Chen Cheng smiled and shook hands with Gao Peng.

This guy was already starting to set his sights on Han Su.

After shaking hands, Gao Peng looked down at the plate in He Zhinan's hand.

"What delicious things did you get?"

He Zhinan's face lit up with a bright smile, and she used a fork to offer a piece of cake to Gao Peng's mouth. Gao Peng didn't hesitate and opened his mouth to take it.

Watching the two being lovey-dovey, Han Su raised an eyebrow and whispered in Chen Cheng's ear, "So your company is called Zhencheng?"

Chen Cheng nodded slightly.

"I'm in private equity, and I also do some venture capital."

Han Su's lips curled up. "It seems your business is quite large."

Chen Cheng said cockily, "It's alright."

As the two were chatting, a woman walked over.

She happened to be facing Chen Cheng's direction.

The woman walked up close and tapped Han Su on the arm, which made Han Su turn around and see her.

She was slightly surprised. "Morena."

This exclamation immediately attracted the attention of the three people.

Morena smiled and raised her glass towards Gao Peng. "Hi, General Manager Gao."

She glanced at He Zhinan. "And who is this?"
