"Boss, the matter regarding Nuoruo has been resolved."

"Oh?" Chen Cheng raised the corners of his mouth. "The price?"

"The founding team bought back 5% at a valuation of 3 billion dollars. The other 5% was sold to 3 investment institutions at a valuation of 3.5 billion dollars."

Chen Cheng was satisfied with this price. "Have them send someone to Hong Kong Island to sign with me."

It was normal for the founding team not to be able to offer a high valuation; they were poor.

But when selling equity, Chen Cheng would still prioritize them.

After all, they could be considered partners who started the business together.

He had to show some consideration for their past relationship, and besides, it wasn't as if they weren't paying.

"The founders have already entrusted lawyers in Hong Kong Island, and the three investment institutions all have branches in Hong Kong Island. They should be negotiating the time with your secretary."

Chen Cheng nodded and hung up the phone.

With an average valuation of 3.25 billion, selling 10% of Nuoruo's equity would earn him 325 million in revenue.

Early on, at the beginning of the investment, Chen Cheng had already thought about tax issues.

The Ugly Country usually does not tax capital gains generated from the transfer of equity by non-resident enterprises.

However, it requires meeting conditions such as not involving real estate transactions and not being listed in the Ugly Country.

With the shell company in Hong Kong Island as the holding entity, offshore profits are exempt, so there is no tax either.

This means that the 325 million can go straight into Company Name's pocket.

Chen Cheng calculated the intended use of the funds.

There was still 85 million dollars in the Zhencheng Hong Kong account, totaling 410 million dollars altogether.

There was also 115 million in financing liabilities on the books here, but he wasn't planning on paying that back yet.

Chen Cheng thought for a moment; the investment in servers would likely reach 200 million dollars.

Chen Cheng quickly factored in the quote provided by the server manufacturer.

Two hundred million dollars, based on Chen Cheng's requirement for compatibility with next-generation computing cards, was just enough for 700 eight-card servers at current prices.

That meant a large-scale server cluster composed of 5,600 computing cards.

Combined with the distributed training optimization framework, it should be enough before Altman releases 3.0.

A large sum would also be needed for personnel and facilities.

Chen Cheng thought about it and decided to inject 300 million dollars into the new AI company, leaving the remaining 110 million dollars in Hong Kong Island as working capital.

"Damn it, no wonder Yinda could increase dozens of times over; this is practically robbery."

Chen Cheng cursed inwardly at the company whose shares he had already bought in large quantities.

A five-thousand-card server alone costs over a billion Chinese yuan, and in the future, it would need to be upgraded to ten thousand or twenty thousand cards.

Just the servers alone would require an investment of over ten billion.

Chen Cheng thought for a moment and sent a message to the fat guy in Angel City, asking him to arrange a pledge.

He needed to prepare a large sum of capital to take advantage of next year's opportunity to make a big move and completely solve the funding problem.

Han Su was in the bedroom helping He Zhinan pick out clothes for the banquet, chatting about gossip as they did so.

He Zhinan changed into a black camisole dress and came out, spinning around in front of Han Su. "I have one more invitation. How about you take your 'yet-to-begin beauty' with you?"

Han Su rolled her eyes at her, annoyed. "He has a name."

"Yes, yes, yes, I know, Chen Cheng, right?" He Zhinan looked at Han Su with a doting, auntie-like smile.

As soon as the two had come in, He Zhinan had pulled Han Su aside to ask about the details of their date last night.

By now, she already knew a little about Chen Cheng.

Han Su looked at the guest list in her hand, feeling somewhat tempted.

On this list, there were many people that many others would be dying to meet.

She thought for a moment. "Alright, I'll ask him in a while."

After helping He Zhinan pick out her clothes, Han Su left the room.

Seeing Chen Cheng sitting on the balcony, the corners of her mouth curled up, and she walked over.

Chen Cheng was so engrossed in his coding that he didn't notice her approaching at all.

Han Su didn't make a sound to disturb him, standing quietly to the side, watching his fingers dancing rapidly across the keyboard.

After a long while, Chen Cheng sensed the prying gaze and looked up, meeting Han Su's smile.

"Your coding speed is really fast. I feel like my document writing speed can't keep up with you."

Chen Cheng smiled, not offering an explanation. "Did you pick out your clothes?"

Han Su nodded. "Yes."

Looking at Chen Cheng's gentle smile, Han Su thought for a moment before asking, "Are you free tonight?"

Chen Cheng's lips curled up; if you are asking me, I'm free even if I'm not.

"Is it possible that I came here today specifically to find you?"

Hearing him say this, Han Su blushed slightly. "Then will you accompany me to a banquet? A charity banquet."

"Gao Peng, the host of this house, is holding it as a social event for his IPO."

"Many people from the financial world will be attending."

Chen Cheng thought about it; he could use the chance to get to know Gao Peng, so he nodded. "Sure. Is there anything I need to prepare?"

Han Su looked at Chen Cheng's attire: a white T-shirt and black shorts.

It was fine for everyday wear, and he looked quite handsome with his long legs dressed like that, but it wasn't very appropriate for a banquet.

"Do you have a suit?"

"Need to wear formal attire, right?"

Han Su nodded.

Chen Cheng thought about it; he seemed to have brought a suit. "Then before we go, I'll just head back to my place and change."

A smile appeared on Han Su's lips, and she felt a bit embarrassed. "Thank you."

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow. "You're welcome, my Miss Baozi."

Han Su was stunned for a moment, then chided him playfully, "You're the one who's a baozi."

Chen Cheng looked at her huffy expression, the corners of his mouth curling up.

Han Su huffed, sat down beside him, and stared blankly at the distant sea.

"It's a good thing the scenery here is nice; it makes my sense of guilt a little lower."

...

As the two were chatting, He Zhinan came over and called them for dinner.

Chen Cheng was a bit surprised that He Zhinan was actually doing the cooking herself, with the Filipino maid helping out.

The one common drawback of Filipino maids is that most of them don't know how to cook Chinese food.

In the afternoon, Chen Cheng and Han Su said their goodbyes and left.

Han Su said she wanted to go look at an evening gown, as she needed one for the evening.

Chen Cheng naturally accompanied her, driving straight to Central.

As the financial center of Hong Kong Island, Central had a very high density of luxury stores.

After parking the car, they had a clear destination and went straight into Chanel.

Chen Cheng had shopped at luxury stores enough times that he had learned to be smart.

He flashed his black card and went straight into the VIP room.

Han Su was not too surprised by this.

After all, she had seen his Bodyguard last night, and today she had seen that ferrari, the latest flagship supercar that hadn't even been released in the Asian market yet.

Han Su came out of the changing room and raised an eyebrow at Chen Cheng, who was waiting on the sofa. "How is this one?"

Chen Cheng looked up and examined her carefully.

A black halter evening dress, paired with her jet-black, lustrous wavy long hair, looked both elegant and uniquely charming.

Chen Cheng nodded. "It looks very good and suits you. It doesn't steal the spotlight, yet it looks beautiful enough."

Chen Cheng looked at the shoes on her feet. "However, you might need to change the shoes."

Han Su smiled and nodded; she had looked in the mirror before coming out, and Chen Cheng's words were about what she had expected.

She turned her head and said to the sales associate in somewhat broken Cantonese: "We'll take this one. We'll look for shoes separately."

The female sales associate nodded with a professional smile and replied in Mandarin: "Very well, Miss."

Han Su glanced at the sales associate, feeling a bit awkward.

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow; Han Su's Cantonese was still a bit broken.

Regardless of whether this sales associate was intentional or unintentional, she would be reported by Chen Cheng today.

If intentional, then she was discriminating.

A toxic tumor must naturally be dealt with.

If unintentional, then she was unprofessional; whatever language the customer speaks to you in, you should respond in that same language.

Especially since this is Hong Kong Island, where speaking Cantonese and English is the bare minimum for luxury sales.
