Over an hour later, Qiao Jingjing had rested for quite a while, but the lingering sensation still hadn't faded. She gave Chen Cheng a reproaching look.
"Today isn't a safe period. What if I get pregnant?"
Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow and thought seriously for a moment. "Wouldn't that be exactly what I want?"
"That way, my wife won't have to be so busy anymore."
Qiao Jingjing immediately rolled her eyes at Chen Cheng and tilted her chin up proudly. "I don't want to become a mother so early."
Chen Cheng looked at her charmingly naive appearance and smiled dotingly.
He got out of the car, sat back in the driver's seat, shifted gears, and left the parking lot.
After the initiative to reduce gatherings was issued, people were on edge. By evening, there were fewer cars on the streets.
There were quite a few cars in this park's parking lot, but absolutely no one was coming or going.
In over an hour, only two or three cars had sporadically entered or exited the parking lot.
This provided a perfect environment for the two bold individuals to carry out their 'crime.'
Qiao Jingjing took deep breaths for a while and finally managed to calm down.
"Tomorrow night, Sister Ling wants the company's artists to do a live stream together."
"There will definitely be talent performances—singing, dancing, and so on. Do you want to participate?"
Chen Cheng immediately shook his head. "Forget about me. You guys have fun."
Qiao Jingjing curled her lip. "Right now, your fans have some rather strong opinions about you."
"Opinions?"
Qiao Jingjing nodded. "Yeah. Your songs don't even have music videos, and no one knows what the singer actually looks like."
"Now, your fans are saying your songs are like bulk liquor sold by the roadside—unbranded spirits."
"It looks shabby, but it's intoxicating."
The corner of Chen Cheng's mouth twitched. "That's a pretty apt description."
The two chatted while enjoying the warm atmosphere in the car that belonged only to them.
The car soon arrived at Qiao Jingjing's villa.
Chen Cheng parked the car and looked at the large villa, raising an eyebrow with a smile. "Your home is quite big, Teacher Qiao."
Qiao Jingjing tilted her chin up proudly. "It's big, right?"
"I bought it for my father and mother."
Chen Cheng chuckled helplessly. "Yes, our Jingjing is really capable."
Qiao Jingjing immediately blushed. "You'd better be complimenting me."
Chen Cheng was stunned for a moment, then immediately realized what she was implying.
He sighed. "It seems I've really corrupted you. Now your 'driving speed' is even faster than mine."
Qiao Jingjing's face turned bright red, and she gave him a huffy glare.
"I'm ignoring you. I'm going back."
Chen Cheng nodded and also pushed open the car door to get out.
The two held each other and shared a moment of tenderness.
"Oh, it seems to be snowing." Qiao Jingjing reached out to catch a freshly fallen snowflake.
Chen Cheng looked up; it really was snowing.
The snowflakes were quite large, similar to the 'goose-feather snow' people often talk about.
This was quite rare south of Longjiang. Chen Cheng smiled. "A timely snow promises a good harvest."
"Yeah," Qiao Jingjing nodded, then remembered something. "Oh, right, it's snowing. Your fish won't freeze to death, will they?"
Chen Cheng shook his head slightly. "No. The fish pond has a temperature monitoring system. If the temperature drops, the circulating water will be heated to regulate it."
"Alright then." Qiao Jingjing nodded, hugged Chen Cheng again, and stood on her tiptoes to give him a kiss.
"Okay, you should go back too."
Chen Cheng smiled and nodded. "Okay, go on in. I'll leave once you're inside."
With a smile on her lips, Qiao Jingjing nodded, pushed open the courtyard gate, and walked to the front door, looking back at every other step.
She turned her head to wave goodbye to Chen Cheng, and he smiled and waved back.
This was Chen Cheng's basic ability as a scumbag: he could have a sweet romance with anyone.
Only after Qiao Jingjing entered her password and disappeared inside did Chen Cheng turn and walk toward the neighborhood entrance.
Leaving the neighborhood, he got into the passenger seat of the Panamera.
The three women in the car looked at him suggestively. Li Na raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Going home?"
As soon as Chen Cheng sat in the car, he felt the suggestive gazes of the three women. He nodded slightly. "Yeah. Let's go back."
"It's late; time to sleep."
Before he even finished speaking, the three women's faces began to redden.
...
The next day.
None of them had set an alarm. By 10:30, the three women were still asleep; they had been far too exhausted last night.
Chen Cheng had gone downstairs to make breakfast over an hour ago.
He was standing by the fish pond feeding the fish when the courtyard doorbell rang.
The doorbell was electronically controlled, connected to both the internet video and the living room.
Chen Cheng walked to the living room, checked the monitor, and raised an eyebrow. "Why is this girl here?"
Lin Miaomiao was standing at the door wearing a black down jacket with a white hooded sweatshirt underneath.
Crucially, she was the only one in the video.
Chen Cheng frowned and switched the monitor's camera view.
Sure enough, he saw others in the other two camera feeds.
Instead of opening the door, he turned and went upstairs.
The three upstairs were still sleeping. If they woke up and came down, they'd probably be bewildered.
After waking the three and telling them, Chen Cheng took four red envelopes from a box, stuffed them in his pocket, and then went downstairs to the courtyard gate to open the door.
Before Chen Cheng even got down, he could already hear Lin Miaomiao shouting outside.
"Brother Cheng, hurry up and get out of bed!"
When he reached the ground floor, his phone also started ringing.
Chen Cheng didn't answer. He walked to the courtyard gate and opened it personally.
The courtyard had remote control, but these people at the door were clearly here for New Year greetings.
As soon as the gate opened, Lin Miaomiao was stunned for a moment, then hurriedly gestured behind her.
Jiang Tianhao and Deng Xiaoqi suddenly jumped out.
The three stood in a row, performing a hand-cupping salute with grinning faces, and shouted in unison:
"Brother Cheng, may you be prosperous! Now, give us the red envelopes!"
After finishing their New Year greeting, they cupped their hands and looked at Chen Cheng expectantly.
Watching the three of them acting silly, Chen Cheng chuckled helplessly, pulled out the red envelopes he had just taken, and placed one in each of their hands.
Lin Miaomiao's eyes brightened even more when she saw the red envelope. "Thanks, Brother Cheng."
Deng Xiaoqi, her face tinged with a blush, took the red envelope with a suppressed smile. "Thanks, Brother Cheng."
Deng Xiaoqi wore a white down jacket with a red scarf and a black skirt. Her hair wasn't tied up as usual but fell naturally over her shoulders.
She had an elegant temperament, like the girl next door who had just blossomed into womanhood.
If she didn't say it herself, you'd never think she was a student.
Many kids in big cities are like this nowadays—wearing adult makeup and clothes even more fashionable than those of adults.
If they don't speak, it's even harder to tell.
Jiang Tianhao had a bright smile. He took the red envelope and nodded respectfully. "Thanks, Brother Cheng."
Chen Cheng gave Lin Miaomiao a pointed look. "Aren't you coming in?"
"Oh~"
Lin Miaomiao, who was busy opening her red envelope, immediately snapped out of it and gave a sheepish smile.
She turned to Jiang Tianhao. "Hao Zi, grab the stuff."
"Oh, right, right."
Jiang Tianhao finally realized and turned to pick up four or five cardboard carrying cases from outside the courtyard wall.
