Returning to the house, he ordered a meal from the hotel next door before going to wash up.

There was no need to worry about no one answering the phone.

The property manager would deliver the meal to the door.

This was probably the purpose of paying five or six thousand in property management fees every month.

Xiao Ye rubbed her eyes and felt the space beside her; no one was there.

She sat up abruptly, faintly hearing the sound of splashing water coming from the bathroom.

Her heart immediately felt at ease.

Barefoot, showing off her fair, long legs, she ran happily towards the bathroom.

Chen Cheng was met with the collision of two soft mounds, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly, "You're awake."

Xiao Ye hugged Chen Cheng's waist tightly, her voice soft and sweet, "I thought you had left."

"This is my home, why would I leave?" Chen Cheng couldn't help but smile; this girl was too starved for affection.

"I just woke up, I wasn't thinking clearly," Xiao Ye said with an awkward smile.

Chen Cheng turned around, putting his arms around her waist, "Do you want to wash up?"

Xiao Ye thought for a moment, her face blushing, and nodded.

Half an hour later, the two of them walked out.

Chen Cheng found a woman's pajama set in the walk-in closet and put it on her.

"This is the first time I've stayed in this apartment."

"Ah?" Xiao Ye's fallen face immediately lit up with surprise and delight; she had thought Chen Cheng had put another woman's clothes on her.

"I just bought it; it's close to work. I came here yesterday because I worked too late."

"Daily necessities and clothes were all restocked by my company's employees."

Chen Cheng bent down to pick her up, walked to the bedside, sat down, and lowered his head to put slippers on her.

Xiao Ye watched his extremely gentle movements, her heart melting. At this moment, she understood why those women still loved him even knowing he was messing around with others.

He had a great body, was handsome, talented, and so gentle.

She loved him too.

"Alright, go eat breakfast," Chen Cheng crouched on the floor, affectionately pinching Xiao Ye's somewhat thin cheeks.

Xiao Ye's mouth brimmed with a bright smile, and she reached out both hands towards the Great Handsome Guy, "I want you to carry me over."

Chen Cheng curled the corner of his mouth, not refusing, and carried her to the dining room.

After finishing breakfast, Scum Cheng gave Xiao Ye a few instructions.

"If you have nothing to do today, just rest here. You don't need to clean up the balcony or the dining table; I've called a cleaning lady."

Xiao Ye nodded obediently, blinked her eyes, and asked, "Will you come back tonight?"

Chen Cheng paused for a moment, thought about it, and shook his head; he couldn't let this girl get too clingy to him.

"I won't be back. When I have time, I'll come find you."

"Alright," Xiao Ye said, looking a bit aggrieved.

Chen Cheng smiled, didn't comfort her further, and turned to leave the room.

Today, he had to meet with the Company Name team.

Chen Cheng sat in his office, reconsidering the few things he needed to do after taking over Company Name.

He took out his phone and called Lucy, "You've resigned, right?"

Lucy had just gotten up and was frying eggs by the stove.

She revealed her dimples, "How did you know? Did Zhen Zhen tell you?"

Chen Cheng chuckled, "Can't it be that I've been keeping an eye on my girlfriend?"

Lucy's mouth curled up slightly, "You're so glib."

"Why are you calling so early? Disturbing my sleep."

Chen Cheng's mouth twitched. Hypocritical woman, you answered the phone in a second, and you're telling me you were sleeping?

Chen Cheng didn't make small talk, "Come with me to audit the accounts this afternoon."

"Audit the accounts?" Lucy raised an eyebrow, "You shouldn't be short of finance staff there, right?"

"Can't I just miss you?"

"..." Lucy was speechless, then laughed helplessly, "Stop with the nonsense. Time and place."

"Come to the company, let's have lunch together?"

"The password is 123456. The car keys are in the entryway, you can drive over."

"Okay~" Lucy agreed readily.

Chen Cheng looked at the hung-up phone, the corners of his mouth curling up; I'll deal with you tonight.

Human Resources, Finance, and Administration were all in his hands; all that remained was Risk Control.

The business departments would be left for Zhao Hui to decide.

This was a power struggle between the boss and the professional manager.

In the short term, Chen Cheng still hoped to give Zhao Hui sufficient autonomy.

In the afternoon, Chen Cheng's motorcade set off.

The audit team from Hong Kong, the cooperating legal team, Gao Yue, Qu Honglei, plus Chen Cheng and Lucy—a group of over a dozen people in five cars—made a grand procession.

Before the car had even fully stopped, Chen Cheng saw Chris and others waiting at the entrance of the office building.

The corners of his mouth curled up, and he let out a breath.

The car stopped, and Brother Sheng, who was in the passenger seat, quickly got out and came over to open the door.

Chen Cheng patted Lucy, who was sitting beside him, and smiled at her, telling her to relax.

Lucy was more nervous than he was.

As soon as Chen Cheng got out of the car, Chris and his people came up to greet him.

Lucy, wearing a white shirt and black leather skirt, stood behind Chen Cheng, carrying a laptop bag.

Watching Chen Cheng being surrounded like the moon among stars, even though Lucy tried hard to control herself, the corners of her mouth couldn't stop curling up.

There was another person in the crowd who was quite shocked.

It was Lin Dawei, standing beside Gao Yue.

Gao Yue had notified him to come; the two had coordinated before, discussing the details of the personnel contract.

Chris introduced Qu Zhonghui, and Chen Cheng shook his hand with a faint smile.

Chen Cheng wouldn't keep him; he must have already heard the rumors, as his smile didn't reach his eyes when they shook hands.

Chen Cheng didn't care; he had no interest in bickering over face with someone destined to fail.

After Chris finished the introductions, Qu Zhonghui, the actual controller of Company Name, took over the introductions.

Qu Zhonghui pointed to a gentle-tempered middle-aged woman and introduced her, "Chairman Chen, this is the General Manager of Operations for the TMT department, General Manager, General Manager Yu."

"Hello, Chairman Chen."

Chen Cheng felt a bit dazed; his childhood goddess had aged.

He smiled and shook hands with General Manager, "Hello, General Manager."

"This is Ma Jianguo from the Traditional Business Department."

Ma Jianguo kept a very low profile, head bowed, extending both hands, "Hello, Chairman Chen."

Chen Cheng couldn't help but smile; he preferred the Ma Jianguo who was furious and unruly in the office.

Qu Zhonghui made introductions one by one: Wang Yundong from the New Business Department, Pan Jing from the Risk Control Center...

After a few pleasantries, the group headed upstairs in a grand procession.

Chris walked side by side with Chen Cheng, very relaxed, chatting casually.

Selling Company Name to Chen Cheng meant his family had cashed out and retreated completely.

Chris found Chen Cheng quite pleasing to the eye now.

A short signing ceremony was held in the conference room.

After signing, Chen Cheng shook hands with Chris and smiled, "President Jun, I will now fully take over Company Name."

Chris felt relieved, "Of course, please go ahead."

Chen Cheng nodded to the others, and they each went to their duties, taking their people to the pre-arranged office space.

Aks took the Hong Kong team to another conference room to audit all of Company Name's projects.

Lucy took the external accounting team into the Finance Department, ordering the Financial Controller to hand over the keys and seals, and to leave the finance office.

Gao Yue walked up to Chen Cheng, holding a document and opening it.

Chen Cheng picked up a pen and signed it.

They were two personnel appointment letters, appointing Gao Yue to concurrently serve as Human Resources Director of Company Name Capital; and appointing Lin Dawei as Director of the Administration Department.

Chen Cheng smiled at Lin Dawei, and Lin Dawei nodded, walking out of the conference room with two administrative staff members brought over from Company Name.

With the appointment in hand, Gao Yue's subsequent work would finally have legitimacy.

Gao Yue walked up to Qu Zhonghui, "General Manager Qu, please step aside for a moment."

Qu Zhonghui glanced at Chris, and seeing that he had no intention of looking at him, he knew in his heart that he had been completely abandoned.
