Chen Cheng finished dinner and spent a while on green bubble.

Returning to his room, he looked at the sleeping Anna and raised an eyebrow.

He opened the system.

[Li Xianzhu Favorability: 99]

99, which meant that before tonight, Anna's favorability toward him was already as high as 97.

Chen Cheng was stunned; it was his first time seeing such a high initial favorability.

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth curled up; this girl's mind was not mature enough, and she was indeed a bit love-struck.

Being put into a 'cage' by Chen Cheng and developing a dependency on him didn't seem strange at all.

The next day.

Chen Cheng went to the Company Name office early in the morning.

He signed many backlogged documents.

On the seventh day, Chen Cheng appeared alone at the door of a laboratory office at Stanford, carrying a laptop.

He didn't encounter any obstacles along the way; quite a few PhD students recognized him.

After all, he was the famous 'money-scattering boy' of Silicon Valley.

Among these PhDs, there were no shortage of people eager to launch a project and seek his investment.

Chen Cheng stood at the door, his gaze locked on the figure standing by the window holding a coffee and looking into the distance.

Li Fei, a former genius girl, had become the director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence laboratory six years ago, before she was even forty.

She was a deep learning expert and the most authoritative scholar in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.

Chen Cheng also knew that she would be inducted into the two academies next year.

Chen Cheng took a breath and knocked on the door.

Li Fei turned around, her face filled with surprise, "Chen Cheng."

Chen Cheng smiled and walked into the office. "Professor Li."

Li Fei smiled, pointed to the sofa, signaling him to sit, then looked up and shouted in English towards the outside: "Mary, a Latte."

After saying that, she turned back, "Why are you back?"

Chen Cheng shrugged, "Some business, just keeping busy..."

Li Fei raised an eyebrow, "I heard you sold as in an investment recipient?"

The circle was actually not that big.

Especially since they were all in the Bay Area, industry news spread very quickly.

Chen Cheng nodded, "Sold 10% for 325 million."

Li Fei smiled, "Now nobody should be laughing at you for being rich and stupid."

Chen Cheng smiled, "Who can say for sure with investing? It's all luck."

Li Fei shook her head, not paying attention to his modesty.

"You came to see me, is there something up?"

Li Fei raised an eyebrow, looking at this student she was very fond of.

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth twitched; Big Sister Li was still as sharp as ever, seeing right through that he actually had something to ask of her.

He thought for a moment and got straight to the point: "I want to invite you to participate in my new project."

As he spoke, Chen Cheng took a project proposal out of his laptop bag and handed it to Li Fei.

Li Fei frowned, took the proposal, and said, "Didn't you say you weren't willing to get involved personally, only to invest?"

"Took a trip back to the country and changed your mind?"

Chen Cheng smiled and didn't speak. Waiting for Li Fei to start flipping through the proposal, Chen Cheng began to introduce it:

"I am preparing an epic-level large language model project to build an intelligent language interaction system that serves the whole world."

"In terms of funding, I have prepared 300 million USD for the first phase, which has already arrived, mainly for server construction and personnel maintenance."

Li Fei flipped through a few pages, her eyes gradually becoming focused.

The proposal described in detail the overall framework of the entire large model, the technical route for each stage, a massive and reasonable resource allocation plan, and a very forward-looking plan for future application scenarios.

Li Fei closed the proposal and sighed.

She could clearly feel the feasibility of this project.

But some things cannot be solved just by having a good idea.

Li Fei smiled helplessly and looked at Chen Cheng, "If you came to do your PhD with me, I would be very happy. With your IQ, I think it wouldn't take many years for you to catch up to me. As for your project..."

This wasn't the first time Li Fei had extended an invitation to him. From the moment Chen Cheng came to her with questions about deep learning, she had discovered that this student was extraordinarily intelligent.

He could read ten lines at a glance and had a photographic memory; he was simply a genius among geniuses.

Li Fei thought for a moment, "Frankly speaking, the execution difficulty is too great, and there are too many difficult problems to overcome."

And there are too many similar projects being developed at the same time.

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow; he had forgotten to mention one important thing. "Professor, I forgot to say, this project will be based in Shanghai."

Li Fei frowned, "That makes it even more impossible."

Chen Cheng: "Because of the computing power issue?"

Li Fei nodded, "Yes, Artificial Intelligence, at the end of the day, is a battle of computing power."

This was an unavoidable issue. He thought for a moment and said, "What about the human factor?"

"People are, of course, very important."

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth curled up, "That's why I need top talent like you to join. You would lead the laboratory's project development and version iteration."

Li Fei smiled, "Do you think I lack projects? Or do I lack a title?"

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth twitched. A top university like Stanford, and she was a laboratory director in a cutting-edge field.

It could be said that she had money when she needed money, and people when she needed people.

If she wanted to start another project, the seven major giants would be lining up at the laboratory door with money, waiting to be called.

Chen Cheng thought for a moment and decided to bring out his most important bargaining chip.

"Professor, actually, I have already written the core code for this model."

Li Fei narrowed her eyes, feeling like she had misheard, "What did you say?"

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth curled up; it was time for him to show off.

He took his laptop out of his bag, opened it, and pushed it in front of Li Fei.

"I used Altman's open-source model to build a new Transformer framework and performed multi-layer network stacking. There are Transformer blocks in total, and each layer contains multi-head attention and feed-forward neural networks."

Li Fei looked at the computer, her brow furrowing deeper and deeper.

Chen Cheng didn't disturb her; he hadn't had time to copy the comments when he copied the code.

Reading through all the code and sorting out the framework would take at least two weeks.

He could only wait until she was tired to continue the conversation.

Chen Cheng leisurely drank his coffee, watching Li Fei's focused expression, knowing that the matter was half done.

At noon, Li Fei's assistant Mary came in once to call her, reminding her to eat.

Li Fei asked Mary to order food for herself and Chen Cheng.

While eating, she continued to look at the code.

This grind continued until the sun went down.

Li Fei finally couldn't take it anymore, her eyes were a bit blurry, and she let out a heavy breath.

Closing the laptop, she looked at Chen Cheng with a sharp gaze, "Did you really write this?"

Chen Cheng nodded without batting an eye, "Yeah~ I started since Altman's open-source 2.0."

Li Fei narrowed her eyes at him, "This model is actually already finished, right?"

The corners of Chen Cheng's mouth twitched slightly; the code was copied too perfectly, and she saw through it at a glance.

Chen Cheng shook his head; it wasn't the case, just deny it to the end.

"Not really, it's just that I've simulated all the necessary code for all stages in my head."

The corners of Li Fei's mouth twitched uncontrollably. What kind of heaven-defying brain capacity was this, writing code in one's mind?

"When did you start studying computer science? I mean, in-depth research."

Chen Cheng thought about it; saying this month would be a bit too scary. "Does that book on deep learning count?"

Li Fei was stunned; that was only three or four years ago.

That was still within the acceptable range.

But this person writing code in his head wasn't just ten or so lines, but had gone through all the code for all stages.

This was just too heaven-defying.
