Sun Xin pretended to be calm, squeezing a smile onto her face. "Restroom."

He Jing glanced inside, pulled Sun Xin to the side, and whispered, "Do you know?"

"Zhang Qin organized this class reunion..."

"...just to connect with Chen Cheng."

"Huh?" Sun Xin paused for a moment. "Why?"

"She needs a favor, of course~"

Sun Xin was even more puzzled. "Then why make such a big fuss and hold a class reunion?"

"Hmph~" He Jing gave a light snort. "If she tried to talk one-on-one, he wouldn't give her the chance."

Sun Xin glanced at Chen Cheng and frowned. "That shouldn't be necessary, we're all classmates."

He Jing poked Sun Xin in the waist. "Are you really not interested in Chen Cheng, or are you just pretending?"

"You don't even know he's made it big."

Sun Xin: "I can see he's made it big."

"But isn't this a bit exaggerated?"

"To specifically hold a class reunion."

He Jing shook her head. "You, you really missed out on a treasure without even realizing it."

She glanced at Chen Cheng. "Chen Cheng hasn't just made it big, he's hit it huge."

"I know for a fact that you liked him back in school."

"Unfortunately, Chen Cheng was a quiet bookworm, spending all his time in the library."

Sun Xin felt a bit embarrassed. "That's not true."

How could a goddess admit to having a crush on someone?

He Jing laughed and rolled her eyes at her. "Fine, if you say so."

"Anyway, the opportunity is right in front of you now."

"I heard that Chen Cheng only agreed to come because he heard you were coming."

"Otherwise, this reunion wouldn't have happened today."

"You two were already quite flirty back in school."

He Jing gave Sun Xin a knowing, motherly smile and winked. "Don't tell me you're both pushing thirty and still playing the 'will-they-won't-they' game?"

Sun Xin blushed at her words. "Oh, stop talking nonsense. I'm going to the restroom."

"Go on then~" He Jing waved her hand, knowing Sun Xin was thin-skinned.

Watching Sun Xin's back, He Jing murmured to herself, "This way, I haven't offended anyone, right?"

"If they really get together, that couple will owe me one."

The more He Jing thought about it, the more clever she felt.

She turned back and looked at Chen Cheng, who was surrounded by Zhang Qin and her husband.

She blinked and walked over.

The deed was done, and the main person involved needed to know.

...

After hanging out for a while longer, everyone had chatted enough and began packing up to leave.

Yang Qing stood up and said, "Um, I'd like to invite everyone to my club to hang out a bit longer."

"Let's go sing some songs and have a few drinks."

As urban workers, when someone organizes a night of indulgence, everyone responds enthusiastically.

"Sure~" "Sounds good~" "Sounds good~" "Yeah, it'll be lively." "It's rare for us all to have time to get together, let's have some fun."

Yang Qing smiled and whispered to ask for Chen Cheng's opinion. "Chen Cheng, want to come and hang out for a while?"

Chen Cheng waved his hand. "I'll pass."

As the two were talking, Sun Xin interrupted the group's discussion. "Um, I won't be going. You guys go ahead and have fun."

Zhang Qin became anxious. If Sun Xin didn't go, Chen Cheng definitely wouldn't go either.

She walked over in a few steps and took Sun Xin's hand. "Oh, you're the class beauty, why aren't you going? If you don't go, it won't be as fun for the rest of us."

Sun Xin realized that she had been nothing but a prop for this entire gathering, so she naturally felt a bit disheartened.

She smiled awkwardly. "I don't like singing, you guys go."

Zhang Qin still wouldn't give up. "You don't have to sing, just come and have some fruit?"

He Jing, who was standing nearby, couldn't watch anymore. She laughed and rolled her eyes at her. "Oh, they want to talk privately, why are you trying to join in?"

Zhang Qin felt embarrassed and glanced at Chen Cheng, giving an awkward laugh. "Alright then."

Sun Xin looked at Chen Cheng. The moment their eyes met, they smiled at each other.

She pointed downstairs, signaling she would wait for him there. Chen Cheng nodded.

As Chen Cheng was about to leave, everyone surrounded him to exchange a few pleasantries.

Zhang Qin walked up to Chen Cheng and asked nervously, "Cheng, what about the thing I talked to you about?"

Chen Cheng smiled faintly. "No need to say more, I've considered it. No problem."

Zhang Qin's eyes lit up immediately. "No problem?"

Chen Cheng nodded. "No problem."

Zhang Qin turned her head and said to Yang Qing with her chin raised, "Husband, did you hear that? Cheng said no problem."

"..."

Sun Xin glanced at Chen Cheng, who was surrounded by the crowd in the center.

In contrast, when she said she wasn't going, not a single person even offered a polite word.

Sun Xin felt a complicated mix of emotions. Feeling a bit dejected, she turned and entered the elevator.

Chen Cheng exchanged a few more pleasantries with some classmates and quickly headed downstairs.

When he reached the entrance, he saw Sun Xin waiting for him at the spot where they had chatted before going up.

Scum Cheng smirked, walked up to her, and raised an eyebrow. "I told you I wouldn't go up. You just wouldn't believe me."

Sun Xin glared at Chen Cheng indignantly. "Did you know all along?"

Chen Cheng smiled without speaking and waved at the black SUV parked not far away.

He turned to Sun Xin and said, "Let's go, let's find somewhere else to get something to eat. At a party like that, you just drink; I didn't get to eat anything."

Sun Xin glanced at the black SUV driving over. She didn't recognize the model, but she recognized the badge.

Unable to suppress her excitement, she raised her chin haughtily. "Fine, I'll give you this chance."

Chen Cheng played along. "Alrighty."

He stepped forward and opened the car door to the side. "Beautiful, please get in."

Looking at Chen Cheng's handsome face and then at the luxury car with the winged badge, Sun Xin started to feel ecstatic.

She just didn't know that this would be the only time Scum Cheng would ever personally hold the car door and show such attentiveness.

Closing the door, Chen Cheng walked to the other side and got in.

Chen Cheng gave the driver the address and looked down at his phone.

It was Qixi Festival today, so there were a lot of messages.

He replied to some, ignored others, pretending he hadn't seen them.

Scum Cheng's principle was that if you had to send a perfunctory reply, it was better not to reply at all.

After replying quickly for five or six minutes, Scum Cheng finally put his phone down.

He turned and smiled at Sun Xin. "Sorry, had to take care of something."

Sun Xin smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Zhang Qin was right, you're a really busy man now."

"Busy man" wasn't exactly a compliment.

Chen Cheng smiled. "I hope that to you, I'm not some busy man. I'm just me, Chen Cheng!"

A smile tugged at the corner of Sun Xin's mouth as she held back laughter. "I might see you as Chen Cheng, but they probably don't, right?"

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow. "You noticed?"

Sun Xin nodded. "I heard a few things from He Jing earlier. Zhang Qin brought her husband to meet you. I guess they've run into some trouble with their business."

Chen Cheng: "Yeah, her husband is an agent for an overseas influencer cosmetics brand, right?"

"They're having some cash flow issues. Knowing I have a venture capital business, they wanted to beg for some funding from me."

Sun Xin blurted out, "How much money?"

"A small goal."

Sun Xin's pupils constricted. "That's quite a lot. Did you agree?"
