Hearing the female voice coming from her phone, Lin Miaomiao instantly perked up, "Wow, Cotton, you're a girl!"

Chen Cheng huffed at her, "Call her sister."

"Oh~" Lin Miaomiao huffed back at Chen Cheng. They were completely comfortable with each other now; she didn't treat Chen Cheng like an older brother at all.

"Sister Cotton."

At this, Qiao Jingjing's eyes widened; no one had ever called her that before.

With a smile on her lips, she said, "Hello, Lin Meow Meow."

Lin Miaomiao's ID was Lin Meow Meow, which was also the name of the stray cat she raised.

"Sister Cotton, what do you want to play?"

Qiao Jingjing watched as Chen Cheng selected Ukyo Tachibana, and after thinking for a moment, said, "I'm not very good at playing, how about I play support?"

Qiao Jingjing casually selected game character.

Qian Sanyi and Jiang Tianhao exchanged a look and quickly selected the Clash Lane and Mid Lane, leaving the Bottom Lane for Lin Miaomiao.

Lin Miaomiao kicked Jiang Tianhao. "Don't you usually play the marksman?"

Jiang Tianhao pretended not to see her. "Look at who usually plays support."

Lin Miaomiao reluctantly selected Hou Yi.

Once in the game, Chen Cheng began to focus on jungling.

After reaching level 4, Lin Miaomiao started directing Qiao Jingjing, "Sister Cotton, go check the brush for vision, the jungler should be coming soon."

Qiao Jingjing was stunned, "Which brush?"

"Is it that brush above?"

As soon as these words came out, Lin Miaomiao's goofy expression instantly collapsed.

She really doesn't know how to play? She doesn't even know which brush to check for vision.

She glanced at Chen Cheng, who was jungling, sighed, and explained patiently, "See if the opponents are flanking us."

"If they flank us, tell me, so I can retreat."

Qiao Jingjing maneuvered her hero into the river brush, but crouched there looking confused, not knowing what to do.

Her eyes darted around, and she switched screens to look at Chen Cheng's Ukyo Tachibana.

Chen Cheng happened to be clearing the top jungle area.

"Hao Zi, fight him, show a weakness."

Before he had even finished clearing the jungle monsters, Chen Cheng began directing Jiang Tianhao to lure the opponent.

"Alright, Brother Cheng."

Jiang Tianhao replied readily and immediately maneuvered his hero to lure the opponent.

Fighting while retreating, he lured the opponents to push forward.

Now, it couldn't be said that Jiang Tianhao obeyed Chen Cheng's every word, but he certainly regarded him as an idol.

Controlling Ukyo Tachibana, Chen Cheng coordinated with Jiang Tianhao and easily took the head of the opposing top laner.

"Cotton, what are you doing?"

Hearing Lin Miaomiao call her, Qiao Jingjing finally snapped out of it and hurriedly switched back to her own screen.

She saw three opposing heroes surrounding her, while Hou Yi was already lying on the ground.

Qiao Jingjing hurriedly tried to retreat, but before she could even leave the brush, she was taken down too.

Lin Miaomiao huffed angrily at Chen Cheng, "Brother Cheng, your classmate..."

Is a bit of a noob, Lin Miaomiao didn't say it out loud.

Chen Cheng rolled his eyes at her, "Lin Miaomiao, if you're bad, just practice more, don't make excuses."

"That's not it," Lin Miaomiao said, displeased, sticking her neck out and shouting, "It's just that Cotton is a bit ditsy, okay?"

Qiao Jingjing heard their conversation and felt a bit embarrassed, apologizing out loud:

"Sorry, Miao Miao, I switched screens just now and didn't see."

Lin Miaomiao was left speechless, unable to scold her, "It's okay... get back to the lane, don't get distracted like that next time."

"Oh, okay!"

Qiao Jingjing felt very embarrassed and immediately promised, "I promise I won't."

As the two returned to the lane, Chen Cheng came over to counter-gank.

With such a noob duo in the developmental lane, the opponents would definitely come again.

In less than thirty seconds, Chen Cheng managed to camp them as expected.

With a wave of maneuvers, he easily secured a triple kill, even though game character was sacrificed.

Watching Ukyo Tachibana traverse the entire battlefield to cut down the opposing marksman, Qiao Jingjing's eyes lit up.

This guy, he's this good at gaming too?

"Unstoppable!" "Double kill!" ...

Soon, Chen Cheng, along with Jiang Tianhao and Qian Sanyi, had destroyed the opponent's top and mid lanes.

In less than ten minutes, the battle was over.

In the second game, entering the selection screen, Lin Miaomiao decisively grabbed the jungle position and insta-locked Li Bai.

She pushed up her black-rimmed glasses, looking like her scheme had succeeded.

Chen Cheng smiled helplessly and selected Marco Polo.

Qiao Jingjing still selected game character.

Entering the game, the voice chat was full of Lin Miaomiao's boisterous commands.

Neither Chen Cheng nor Qiao Jingjing could get a word in.

Chen Cheng couldn't be bothered to interrupt anyway.

They played another three or four games like this. When Deng Xiaoqi came out of the recording studio, the group finally exited the game.

Qiao Jingjing looked at the results screen, beaming with delight.

"Baili secured 15 kills," she said, then looked at her own 2/7/10 stats, "I'm not bad either."

"Woohoo~" She took a screenshot.

Looking at Chen Cheng's ID, a flush of red crept up her excited, flushed cheeks. After thinking for a moment, she typed in the chat box.

[Shall we add each other on green bubble?]

[Okay!]

Qiao Jingjing looked at the message, pouted, and muttered, "Hmph~ This guy is still so aloof. He only replies with one character."

She casually sent her green bubble account to Chen Cheng, [Dear - Qiao Jingjing]

Chen Cheng looked at the message and frowned.

He muttered to himself, "Be careful, I shouldn't get exposed, right..."

After pondering for a while, Chen Cheng patted his head.

Damn, with my net worth, what am I afraid of?

Capital has ten thousand ways to make entertainment reporters shut up.

As for the rest, buddy has a million lines of large model code to protect himself.

In a key field that can determine the next hundred years, there is a technological lead.

Honestly, as long as it's not a matter of principle, everything else is negotiable.

Having figured it out, Scum Cheng curled the corner of his mouth and copied Qiao Jingjing's green bubble.

Just then, Lin Yu came over. Chen Cheng put down his phone and asked with a smile, "How was it?"

Lin Yu nodded, "Not bad, quite talented."

Chen Cheng naturally understood what he meant—the foundation and vocal skills weren't great—so he smiled, "It's enough for now."

He didn't expect to turn Deng Xiaoqi into a cash cow; as long as she was having fun, that was fine.

Lin Yu smiled noncommittally.

Deng Xiaoqi chatted with Lin Miaomiao for a few moments, and seeing an opening, asked Chen Cheng, "Brother Cheng, are you going to record?"

Today, Deng Xiaoqi was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and a black pleated skirt, with her hair in a ponytail—she was truly youthful and beautiful.

Chen Cheng nodded, "Yeah, I'll record one."

He greeted the four of them, "You guys wait for me a moment, I'll take you out for a big meal tonight."

It was a rare day off, and since they had come out with Chen Cheng, he naturally wouldn't treat them poorly.

Chen Cheng smiled and turned to enter the recording studio.

Having come here to record a few times, Chen Cheng and Lin Yu had already developed a good rapport.

Nodding, Lin Yu started the recording.

Chen Cheng cleared his throat and began to sing: [I have come to your city] [Walking the path you took when you came] [...]

Listening through his headphones, the corners of Lin Yu's mouth couldn't stop twitching; this person was as steady as a robot, and he couldn't find a single flaw.

This monster's recording—one take was completely enough; he couldn't even find a place that needed auto-tuning.

"Perhaps, accepting his acquisition is a good choice."

"He can write, he can sing, he has money, and he doesn't micromanage—I couldn't find a more perfect boss."

After the last recording, when Chen Cheng was handling the copyrights, he had considered whether to just bring Lin Yu on board directly.

This way, not only would someone help him manage copyright matters, but he could also keep his identity completely secret from the outside world.

Lin Yu didn't agree immediately, saying he needed to think about it.

Working for others is nowhere near as comfortable as being your own boss.

Now, he was hesitating.
