Chen Cheng was chased out of the kitchen by the two Aunts and Chen Min after only a few minutes.

Looking at Chen Min, one could tell she couldn't sit still at the mahjong table and had run into the kitchen to help again.

"Born to work, aren't you?" Chen Cheng said, popping a slice of beef into his mouth and shaking his head with a smile.

Walking out of the kitchen, he saw the Little Girl, Li Wanrou, squatting by the fish pond, sprinkling something inside.

Chen Songtao's three-year-old son, Chen Jiahao, was also squatting next to his sister.

Most of the time, these two children were looked after by Chen Zhong and his wife; the little guy was his sister's shadow.

Wherever Li Wanrou ran, Chen Jiahao would find her soon after.

"Wanwan, don't fall into the water."

The Little Girl looked up at Chen Cheng, "I know."

"Uncle~"

The Little Girl had been running wild with her older cousins and was now hot enough to have taken off her jacket, wearing only a hoodie.

Seeing her full of energy, the corners of Chen Cheng's mouth curled into a smile.

He didn't bother her and went straight into the living room. She was nearly five and almost didn't need adult supervision anymore.

"Chen Cheng, come play cards," Chen Zhong called out as soon as he entered the living room.

Chen Cheng waved his hand, "Uncle, you guys go ahead. I don't know how to play that, I'll go watch them play mahjong."

Chen Zhong, his son, and his son-in-law were sitting in the living room playing Nantong long cards.

Chen Cheng didn't even recognize those cards and had no interest in learning.

He walked through the living room and entered the activity room.

Xiao Ye was at the mahjong table, and Li Na was sitting on the side looking at her phone.

At the table were Jiang Jianjun, Chen Li, Zuo Pei, and Xiao Ye.

"Chen Cheng, you play, you play," Chen Li called out as soon as Chen Cheng entered, asking him to take her turn. "My luck has been terrible; I've been losing all afternoon."

Chen Cheng's eyes lit up, and he laughed, "A bringer of wealth? I can't let you leave, sister."

"Hahaha~" This remark immediately made Zuo Pei burst into laughter, "Chen Cheng, you're right. We can't let Chen Li just run off like that."

Xiao Ye was also laughing happily, her mouth stretching from ear to ear, though she didn't make a sound.

Jiang Jianjun was quite shy; you could only tell he was smiling.

Chen Min and Jiang Jianjun were junior high classmates; the two had been hanging out together since then.

After graduating from junior high, Chen Min went to a vocational high school, not because she couldn't get into a regular one.

It was because they were poor, and Chen Hai had her enroll in a nursing school so she could start working and earning money sooner.

However, Chen Min didn't end up being a nurse. After years of drifting, she was now working at a denture factory.

The pay wasn't much, but the work was light and close to home, the kind where she could go home every day at noon to cook for her son.

Jiang Jianjun was a landscape designer working in Gusu, across the lake. The family's mortgage and the children's schooling were mainly supported by his salary.

Although he lived apart from Chen Min, Jiang Jianjun returned every Friday night and took the high-speed rail to City Name for work early Monday morning.

Chen Min's life was a bit austere, but quite peaceful.

A smile appeared on Chen Li's cold face, "Fine, then I'll play the role of the bringer of wealth to the end today."

"I don't believe it; can I really keep losing?"

This amused everyone, and they chuckled. Chen Cheng laughed too, resting his hand on Xiao Ye's shoulder, "Winning?"

Xiao Ye shook her head, "Mm-mm~ I don't know how to play the mahjong here; Li Na has been winning it all."

The mahjong here involved winds and flowers, and you could meld tiles; whether it was calculating the tiles or the points, it was quite complex.

For someone who hadn't encountered it before, it was indeed quite hard to learn.

Chen Cheng couldn't help but smile helplessly.

The box in front of her was stuffed with a thick stack of red bills, so full it wouldn't even close.

It seemed that Chen Min and Chen Li hadn't lost a small amount all afternoon.

"What should I discard?" When it was her turn, Xiao Ye asked Chen Cheng.

Chen Cheng glanced at her tiles and said casually, "Discard a wind tile. Go big or go home."

With his brain modified by the system, he could calculate the probability of each player winning with a single glance at the table.

Encouraging Xiao Ye to go big was purely because Li Na had won too much.

Li Na hadn't brought cash back, and Chen Cheng's cash box was still in Li Na's car.

Those one or two hundred bills in the box were all winnings she had accumulated.

Xiao Ye said "Oh" and discarded the single, unplayed tile from the far right of her hand, "South Wind~"

"Pong~"

A happy smile immediately appeared on Chen Li's face.

"East Wind~"

Chen Cheng scanned the room and asked, "Hey, why don't I see the Second Sister-in-law?"

Zuo Pei replied, "She took a few of the brats downstairs to watch a movie."

Chen Cheng pursed his lips and smiled, saying nothing.

His son was outside feeding fish with Li Wanrou, so whose brats was she taking?

At lunch, he had noticed that the Second Sister-in-law was a bit socially anxious and very reserved.

She must have gone downstairs to hide and find some peace and quiet.

"..."

After a few rounds, Xiao Ye glared at Chen Cheng indignantly, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

Chen Cheng laughed, "Let your sister be happy too. You can't win anyway."

Xiao Ye was embarrassed: "I..."

"Hahahaha~" Everyone burst into laughter at her expense.

No one at this table was a sore loser.

Chen Min hadn't lost as much as Chen Li, and Jiang Jianjun had already won back quite a bit after sitting in.

After playing a few more rounds, Xiao Ye was about to lose all of Li Na's winnings from the afternoon.

In mahjong with flowers, the points could get shockingly high.

But they weren't playing that way.

They just counted the flowers directly, one flower counted as one bill.

She turned her head and tugged on Chen Cheng's sleeve, "You play."

Chen Cheng chuckled, "Alright, I'll play."

Zuo Pei was a very talkative middle-aged woman and began to tease Xiao Ye, "Oh, can't win so you're calling in reinforcements?"

Calling it reinforcements, but Chen Cheng ended up losing even faster, and within two rounds, he had lost all the fifty or sixty bills left in the box.

Chen Cheng turned to look at Xiao Ye, who couldn't suppress a smile, "Baby, get some money for your brother to spend."

Chen Cheng's "Baby~" in front of everyone made Xiao Ye's fair face turn bright red instantly.

She let out an "Oh~" and hurried out of the room as if fleeing for her life.

The people at the table all smiled.

Chen Cheng couldn't hide the smile on his face and waved his hand, "Continue, continue."

Chen Li happily reached out and pressed the dice button; just now Chen Cheng had dealt her a winning hand, and she had won several times in a row since Chen Cheng sat down.

Although he could see Chen Cheng was losing on purpose, she was still very happy.

The furniture in this room had all been chosen by Fang Sijin, who had guessed Chen Cheng's needs when adding them.

Clearly, there was nothing Chen Cheng was dissatisfied with yet. Especially the mahjong table, which was set up perfectly.

Before long, Xiao Ye returned with a smile on her lips, haughtily lifted her chin, and held out three stacks of red bills to Chen Cheng.

"Here, this is my reward for you. Have fun."

Chen Cheng took the capital and shook his head with a smile.

Zuo Pei and Chen Li exchanged glances, both smiling brightly.

Of the three women Chen Cheng brought back, the young women in the family liked Xiao Ye the most; the girl was a sweet airhead.

They liked Li Na the least; the woman was simply too seductive, with every expression full of charm, which directly triggered the biological instinct of same-sex repulsion.

Chen Cheng's Aunt and Aunt liked Zhu Zhe the most; she was diligent and dressed simply. The one they liked the least was, again, Li Na.

Xiao Ye chuckled, turned around to get a teacup for Chen Cheng, and then conveniently refilled the water and fresh juice for the three of them.

After getting the capital, Chen Cheng started winning, but he still lost more than he won.

By the time Chen Min came to call them for dinner, Chen Cheng had lost nearly two hundred points again.

Chen Li happily left the table; after two more rounds, she would be able to break even.

Everyone went to the sunroom together.

The dining room couldn't fit everyone, so after lunch, Chen Cheng had the Bodyguards move the table to the sunroom.
