Zou Yu, having found a new table in the distance, sat opposite He Zhinan and asked the waiter to move the food they had previously ordered to this table.

He Zhinan was very enthusiastic, asking all sorts of questions, and became even more so upon learning that Zou Yu was from Jiangcheng.

She had come from Jiangcheng to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend.

Of course, this was under the circumstances that her current boyfriend, the top-tier "phoenix man" Qu Yipeng, had suddenly lost contact.

Speaking of this buddy, he could be considered a legend.

He was from a rural area in Guangxi province and had developed a relationship with Han Su during their university days.

Despite possessing a prestigious university degree, a high-paying job, and a handsome appearance, Qu Yipeng chose to be a shameless freeloader.

He precisely locked onto targets who were wealthy women, manufactured coincidental encounters, played the victim to garner sympathy, and even resorted to stalking and surveillance.

The object of his stalking and surveillance was He Zhinan, the "wealthy girl" living across from him who frequently received various luxury goods deliveries.

Upon seeing He Zhinan get into a Rolls-Royce with a driver opening the door for her, he immediately solidified his plan to be a shameless freeloader.

He subjected Han Su to cold-violence as a breakup method.

Turning around, he launched a fierce pursuit of He Zhinan, only to discover after succeeding that He Zhinan was not actually a wealthy girl; her family background was merely ordinary, the apartment was bought for her by her parents pooling their money, and the expensive bags and luxury deliveries were actually apology gifts from Gao Peng.

Qu Yipeng decisively broke up with her abruptly, turning instead to pursue the true owner of the Rolls-Royce, the wealthy heiress Chen Shishi.

He even went so far as to quit his job and follow her to Tahiti.

As it turned out, he actually managed to pull it off and successfully became a freeloader.

Zou Yu remained calm in the face of He Zhinan's enthusiasm, looking from time to time in the direction where Chen Cheng and Han Su were.

Seeing the two of them chatting and laughing, her expression grew increasingly stiff.

When the food on the table was mostly finished, Zou Yu couldn't hold back any longer; she got up to pay the bill and leave.

He Zhinan glanced at the two people chatting and laughing in the distance, blinked, and also chose to retreat, creating an opportunity for them.

"How are you leaving, Miss He?" Zou Yu asked politely.

He Zhinan wore an innocent smile. "Oh, I'll just take a taxi in a bit. Lawyer Zou, you don't need to worry about me."

Zou Yu nodded. "Alright then, I'll be heading off first."

After speaking, she turned and waved at the side of the road.

Chen Guosheng had Jimmy drive Zou Yu back to Jardines Lookout, while he himself got into the passenger seat of the car in front.

Eleven watched the car drive away and frowned.

Chen Cheng also saw the two of them leave.

He tilted his head slightly and asked, "Are those your friends?"

In reality, Chen Cheng knew the plot, he just didn't know that he was also a supporting character in the plot who didn't even have a name.

How should one describe the difference between the Han Su from high school and the Han Su now?

The change was significant.

They only looked somewhat alike.

Otherwise, Chen Cheng wouldn't have failed to realize that his first love in this life was a character from "Half-Mature".

He had thought it was just the same name.

Qiao Xichen was also very similar to that "white moonlight" deep in his heart.

Otherwise, Chen Cheng wouldn't have set his sights on Company Name.

Now it seemed that in the future, he might even encounter another double of his "white moonlight".

Han Su raised an eyebrow, thinking about how to define her relationship with He Zhinan.

Qu Yipeng's ex-girlfriends became good friends?

She had even taken a case for He Zhinan's current boyfriend's company.

Han Su shook her head; this was just too melodramatic.

Han Su coughed lightly. "She's my client's girlfriend, and we get along quite well."

"She also just came over from the mainland."

She raised an eyebrow. "So we're just huddling together for warmth."

Chen Cheng understood; it seemed Han Su didn't want to talk about her unbearable ex-boyfriend either.

Chen Cheng glanced at his watch. "It's still early. May I buy you a drink?"

Han Su agreed readily. "Sure."

Chen Cheng got up to pay the bill for Han Su's table.

Han Su didn't fight to pay the bill. That kind of hypocritical refusal would make her sick, and she disdained doing it.

If someone liked to fight to pay the bill, they could go ahead; she wouldn't take such so-called "face" to heart.

The two walked side by side down the street, the summer evening breeze blowing through Han Su's hair.

Not long after, they turned into a quiet, stylish bar.

Sitting at the bar, they calmly recounted their respective pasts.

Obviously, both were holding something back.

Han Su did not mention the complicated relationship between her, He Zhinan, Qu Yipeng, and Gao Peng.

Chen Cheng naturally wouldn't say things like how many girlfriends he had.

When the conversation turned to relationships, Scum Cheng explained quite naturally, "She wasn't willing to return to the country with him, so we broke up."

The two chatted until midnight, and only when they were both slightly tipsy did they walk out of the bar.

Han Su looked at the car parked in front of the entrance and Eleven, who got out to open the car door, feeling secretly surprised but not showing it.

After getting in the car, Chen Cheng continued chatting about the customs and traditions of various places during his time as an international student.

Han Su clearly no longer had the heart to listen attentively, occasionally sizing up Eleven who was driving, occasionally glancing at Brother Sheng in the passenger seat, and occasionally responding to Chen Cheng.

Chen Cheng sensed her change, but he had no intention of stopping his chatter.

Han Su lived quite far away; if they didn't say a word during the half-hour car ride, that would be truly awkward.

Arriving at the destination, the two got out of the car.

Chen Cheng glanced at his watch. "It's already 12:30."

Han Su smiled. "It's fine, I'm used to staying up late anyway."

"Alright then, you go back. I can go up by myself."

The car couldn't reach directly to where Han Su lived; there were long steps in front of the building.

Chen Cheng nodded. "Okay, go on up."

Han Su smiled faintly, nodded lightly, and said, "Bye."

"Bye~"

Han Su smiled, turned, and walked up the steps.

"Han Su~"

Han Su turned back, bewildered, only to hear Chen Cheng ask, "Do you still eat steamed buns now?"

Pfft~

A bright smile instantly appeared on Han Su's face. After thinking for a moment, she replied, "I do!"

After speaking, she turned and continued walking up the steps in the direction of her home.

Watching the curves she displayed with every step she took up the stairs, Chen Cheng was momentarily entranced.

The Han Su of the past was still a Little Girl who wore a ponytail and studied hard every day.

The Han Su of now was mature, capable, and full of charm.

Only when Han Su disappeared at the end of the long steps did Chen Cheng turn and get back into the car.

Returning to Jardines Lookout.

Chen Cheng took a shower, crawled into bed, and was preparing to sleep while holding Zou Yu.

Zou Yu suddenly asked, "You chatted quite happily with your 'white moonlight', didn't you?"

Uh...

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow; the jealousy in that statement was too obvious. "What? Are you jealous?"

"Hmph~" Zou Yu snorted. "Who's jealous?"

Chen Cheng's lips curled upward; she was saying one thing but meaning another.

Seeing him not speak, Zou Yu still couldn't hold back; she turned to face him and asked, "Am I better looking, or is your 'white moonlight' better looking?"

Damn, a death trap question.

Chen Cheng's mind raced, and he took her hand and placed it on his chest.

"The light of the 'white moonlight' has to travel 380,000 kilometers to reach my eyes, but your beauty," he pointed to the location of his heart, "is emitted directly from here, arriving at the speed of light."

"Who do you think wins?"

Zou Yu's lips immediately curled upward, although she knew his words might not necessarily be true.

But she was very satisfied with this answer, and she was willing to believe it.

She lifted her jade-like arms to wrap them around Chen Cheng's neck and kissed him.

"Love me~"
